@RobertGarcia Please look into options on how to connect rural communities to their more urban areas. Like places 20min eat outside of “town”. I get helping urban areas but until we address how our rural areas have no options but has vehicles it won’t make a dent.

@CoachRonKretz @ProfWagnon Snapshot: My school has 30 teachers. 5 (18%) quit the profession this summer, 2 found other teaching jobs. Still have 3 vacancies of 7 positions going into the year. Yes people are just quitting in record numbers. Teaching in Covid times & now the parent hysteria is breaking us.

@Liat_RO @NYCMayor @UFT I feel you. This was my fear three weeks ago when my state had a judge overturn mask mandates. I ask my kids to wear one when I’m working one on one with them. Otherwise I stay in my corner as thankfully I have a wireless slate for writing on the board.

@ModestTeacher Illinois has the by e only make up 5 days for kids rule. One year our district took 11. Kids made up 5 days and teachers and to come for an extra 6 days post kids at the end of the year and work in rooms/collaborate as teams. Yeah…I bet you can imagine how productive it was…

@JMartinTEFL I taught a blind student algebra 1 and discrete math. I learned to be a lot more descriptive in describing what I was writing also worked with the vision teacher to learn Braille numbers and math symbols to work with her on how to organize work.

@mayaharris_ I have two instant pots and an instant air fryer. They’re all that and so much more. Dump dry spaghetti, frozen meatballs, pasta sauce and water. WALK AWAY. Come back 15 minutes later (8 cooking rest is coming to pressure) and perfect spaghetti every time.
