Great simulation of what happened aboard the flydubai flight to Israel.
Thank you to the pilot and the Israeli heroes who stepped up. They are all heroes. 🇮🇱
STATEMENT FROM LET ALBERTA DECIDE CO-LEAD KEITH WILSON, K.C.
Albertans should welcome any serious effort to get our energy to world markets. But with the October 19 referendum only weeks away, they are also entitled to ask some hard questions about today’s Pacific Link announcement.
The first is: why now?
Alberta has been seeking tidewater access for decades. This new pipeline was formally referred to the Major Projects Office on July 2. Yet the major announcement declaring it a project of national interest arrives immediately before Albertans make an important decision about their future constitutional relationship with Ottawa.
That timing deserves scrutiny. Its Ottawa playing politics to get Albertans to forget about decades of mistreatment and how Canada does not work for Alberta.
Albertans should also look carefully at what was actually announced. This is not yet a fully approved, financed or construction-ready pipeline. The current estimated cost is between $35 billion and $44 billion. Taxpayers are now on the hook for the overwhelming majority of the initial ownership interest, while major questions remain about final financing, new BC tolls on Alberta oil, shipper commitments and the ultimate cost to taxpayers.
The pipeline comes with many strings attached imposed by Ottawa. The $20-30 billion Pathways carbon-capture project will be another hit on taxpayers.
This brings the combined cost to taxpayers of over $70 billion which is the same amount as the total budget for the Alberta Government including health care, education, and social programs.
Today’s announcement is significant and I hope the pipeline ultimately gets built.
But Albertans should judge it on the facts, not the timing of a press conference. Does Canada still work for Alberta or can Alberta do better? That’s the question that will be decided on October 19.
Serious change is needed in the constitutional relationship so that the Alberta Government does not have to spend decades of effort and billions in taxpayer dollars just to get a new pipeline.
.@TimHortons says high rates of migrant hiring, up to 83% as shown in bankruptcy filing by Ontario franchisee, are unusual: "It is extremely rare."

Let’s be honest: Ottawa’s mass-immigration policy has coincided with stagnant real GDP per capita because our economy and investment simply haven’t kept pace with the population boom.
Mass immigration is diluting Canadians’ prosperity.
It’s not the only cause, our establishment politicians have also crushed productivity with high taxes and anti-economic development climate change policies, but it’s a big one.
More people, less wealth per Canadian. That’s not rocket science.
It’s time to put Canadians first and have a moratorium on immigration.
EMERGENCIES ACT UPDATE from @cvangeyn of @CDNConstFound. We could find out as soon as this month whether the Supreme Court of Canada will grant leave to the Canadian Liberal government’s request to appeal. To date, four judges have found that the invocation of the EA was unlawful, unconstitutional, and unreasonable.
@ChrisBarber1975
Not a single foot of track has been laid.
Yet Carney has already spent millions in consultant fees and executive salaries.
And his own Budget Officer reports it the Alto project will be waaay over budget.
Conservatives will save you money by cancelling this boondoggle.
Oh they certainly are - like raising carbon taxes and blocking a pipeline that would bring more fuel from Edmonton, all the while refusing to allow a thorough investigation by the BCUC of the role their BC “clean fuel standard” is playing in making up those “mystery cents” 🙄
Breaking News: Antifa Attacks Street Church in Calgary, Canada
During our church service, our volunteers were attacked and my wife was assaulted. They threw liquid at our equipment, and sprayed the American flag.
Look at the pictures and their signs that they brought with them. The hatred toward law and order, Christianity,, our American neighbours and Jesus Christ in Canada is unbelievable. The double standards are obvious and highly visible. Christians are not allowed to hand out gospel tracts at the sexual indoctrination parades, yet Christian Churches can be attacked, and hateful, vulgar signs can be on a full public display without any consequences.
Keep in mind that Antifa, the sexual indoctrination of children, the public display of hatred toward Christianity, and the desecration of the national flag are illegal in the United States. However, here in Canada, you can say and do whatever you want—unless, of course, you are a Christian.
P.S. I am wondering if they would be able to do such a wicked thing against imams and mosques. I’m wondering how that would end for them. Would the officers allow such an attack on the services of the imams? I don’t think so.
Will this attack on our Christian charity be condemned by the mainstream media or by our local, provincial, or federal politicians? I do not believe so. Christianity is under attack. This is another example that Bill C-9 was created only to target Christian values and freedom of expression, not to combat real hate.
I am also wondering: what is it going to take for the church to finally rise up and stand up? Perhaps more needs to be stripped away, or maybe they need to hurt more before they realize it is time to speak up.
In the comments section, I will add a full video of the incident.
Be blessed. Remember, Jesus died for us all. Those hateful people need to experience real love that would set them free! They need Jesus. Do not hate them, hate what they do, and pray for them daily!

Even if you want Alberta to stay in Canada, vote Option 2.
It’s not a vote for separation. It’s a vote that the status quo with Ottawa is unacceptable — and it gives Premier Smith real leverage instead of sending Carney a message that everything is fine.
Voting Option 1 is a surrender.
