#LaymansBrief opines why a judge WILL NEVER order the #Kingsville City Commission to set date for recall election.
@KRIS6News has had this info for days, why haven’t they reported that the city violated their Charter when certifying the recall petition.

Let’s use city tax dollars on pedestrian safety devices in #KingsvilleTX, like sidewalks, bike paths, etc.
Let’s NOT waste city tax dollars on unnecessary city legal expenses defending city employees violating the #KingsvilleCityCharter.

#TxDOT, please be normal, like all other State DOTs. Don’t be a “maverick” or “rogue” DOT.
@TxDOT needs to immediately ban their CHOICE for allowing 70-75mph #SpeedLimits on undivided roadways.
YOU ARE KILLING US!
No other State chooses 70-75mph b/c IT IS NOT A “BEST PRACTICE.”
@SecretaryPete Want to talk “FAIRNESS,” why are Texas vehicle drivers & families forced to endure MAVERICK & UNETHICAL @TxDOT#SpeedLimits of 70/75mph on undivided U.S. highways?
NO OTHER STATE has these high speeds on undivided roadways that increase crash #BluntForceTrauma by 33% (vs 65mph).
A Texas City that is not Austin and its Republican Mayor just passed a Transportation Bond with a Vision Zero line item.
This is great news for the people of Dallas. It’s a small ($14 million) start, but this is a systemic change in thinking / focus / process for the better.
@TxDOTBryan Many human-error distracted-driving crashes, but crash victims should have a DOT that engineers a survivable crash.
#TxDOT, do your part, stop designing excessive/deadly #BluntForceTrauma with your abnormal 75mph #SpeedLimits on undivided roadways & fixed-objects in #ClearZones.
@DavidZipper@ScottNBC5@NBCDFW Pls, DO NOT get math wrong when analyzing 85th%Rule as #TxDOT raised #SpeedLimits to 70-75mph on undivided roadways btwn 1996-2015.
To raise speed limits, top 16% of lawbreaking speeders determine 85th% speed.
To lower speed limits, it takes 86% driving at or below speed limit.
@TxDOTCommission At MAR2023 @TxDOTCommission mtg, I spoke against #TxDOT’s 70/75mph #SpeedLimits in #WorkZones.
Comm. New was adamant the deadly practice was a thing of the past.
In APR2023 I photo-documented 3 such deadly work zones;
US59 Pierce TX,
i10 Columbus,
US77 Driscoll.
Now i10 Boerne TX
@NBCDFW Yes!
Texans deserve the whole deadly truth, that is, the HOLISTIC truth!
The Texas “GO-FAST” road culture is killing us!
It starts at top w/ @GovAbbott bragging about Texas fastest #SpeedLimits,
#TxLege approving 70-75mph #SpeedLimits on undivided roads, & #TxDOT posting it.
