Looking forward too! Let's discuss the difficult questions.. how can we relate the abstract process of memory-making in society to a 'simple' museum workshop?
Yes! Another day at #MSAWarsaw2021
Last day full of exciting panels (luckily we'll have the recordings for another year (!) to catch up)
We're especially looking forward to our fellow @zwart_i in panel J12 at 10 CET - talking abt the 'work' of participatory memory work 💪
@TheopistiSL Then, after lunch, a keynote and many excellent other sessions, we treat you with a second full-fledged POEM panel on infrastructures for participation at 2pm BST
Fellows @kist_c @susanneboersma @qtantran and @zwart_i will talk about their research in various European museums
Totally agree, it was a very nice group to be a part of - full on @achs_ecrn, nice to connect with other PhD students like @eloisarod
Thanks for joining, @susanneboersma :)
Virtually moving from between conference stages at #ACHS2020 with the keynote by @drksalt still lingering in my head. Excited to tune in at the panel on Collaboration and Disruption!
+ getting ready for the Q&A about my poster with @annechahinenow right after (12.30 BST!)
At #ACHS2020@drksalt: What happens to the ghost of the labour of institutional change-making, the ghosts of that practice?
Important! So many participatory projects leave just ghosts!
Watching the paper presentations for the exciting CARMAH session coming up soon at #ACHS2020
Curiously, it almost feels like 'skipping' the conference, taking a break from the Q&A sessions...
- Off to migrate for better WIFI -
Documentary film, VR and re-staging exhibits all seem to be different forms of participatory practice shared in the #ACHS2020 Creative Practice 2 panel. Thanks for your thought-provoking contributions @pawasbisht @ViTsenova @lauraemilyart
@ViTsenova @POEM_H2020 Also interested in hearing what your thoughts are on the 'weight' of introducing this magical thing - VR. It sounded like the participants + institution had really strong expectations about this. Did you consider other tools? What do you think would have been different?
@ViTsenova @POEM_H2020@pawasbisht@lauraemilyart Revealing myself as the one behind the @POEM_H2020 at the moment :)
Thanks yourself! My research deals with professional's views and experiences with participatory projects, so the question about volunteers and their role was very interesting to me.
What an end to #KH2... Joining a ceilidh in Glasgow with all felllows, @FilmGizmo and @_samanthalutz
Dancing our way to the next knowledge hub, in Uppsala💃
Thanks @FranziskaMucha @kist_c and @MariaEcoGl for your hospitality!!
I feel conflicted. Some monkeys used to live in snowy mountains, were placed in a desert and 40+ years later got a pile of ice. Artist Shimabuku, the ice-bringer, is not sure it is relevant. Can this say something about transgenerational trauma, is it cruel or just weird?
Goed stuk van @KvanLaarhoven. In reactie op blokkeerfriezen en collega's én ongeïnformeerde burgemeesters vraag ik me af: welke traditie willen we behouden in Nederland? Demonstratierecht of blackface? #kickoutzwartepiet
Verschillende betogingen van Kick Out Zwarte Piet rondom Sinterklaasintochten werden onterecht verboden of afgebroken, blijkt uit een reconstructie van NRC. https://t.co/I6Z7mvjfkS
We introduce Inge Zwart, who investigates the role of the professional in participatory memory practices and their understanding of 'participation'. #memoriesconnect Join the conversation, connect with @zwart_i on Twitter or find her & the other fellows on https://t.co/X5zbh81nuy
