India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
Government signs settlements and then pretends they don’t exist.
IBA agreed. Deal concluded.
Implement the 5-day week now — or don’t be surprised by united resistance on January 27.
#Approve5DayBankingNow
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

Respected @CMOfficeUP@myogiadityanath ji,
Diwali is 1 of the biggest festival & everyone wants to celebrate it with their families.
Since 21st is working many bankers wont be able to celebrate it.
Like #Chattisgarh kindly announce holiday on 21st Oct in UP. 🙏
@irameshawasthi
@MMTCPAMP Very bad customer service, phone is always busy, no reply on email, product ordered on 08 Oct is still showing released on 09 Oct, after that no whereabout and no tracking available
MNS goons attacking bankers at various places in Maharashtra for not speaking Marathi is shameful. No law & order? Bankers deserve safety, not violence. @Dev_Fadnavis@CMOMaharashtra@FinMinIndia@PMOIndia
must act now to stop said organised crime by MNS https://t.co/CavxEnllOp
