@_var_log@Technagility@Patrickwebb Also, a full-time minimum wage worker in 1971 could theoretically buy just under 8 ounces of gold every month with their wages before taxes.
To do that today you’d have to earn over $32,000 per month.
@GOPLeader I didn’t see any republicans ending lockdowns or voting against insane stimulus. You’re just as responsible. Everyone in DC needs to be fired.
@NeelBParekh@mikekarnj@MaidThis The hotel-like operational streamlining that a lot of sarcastic replies on this thread are calling for are actually the source of a lot of the gouging they’re mad about imo.
@NeelBParekh@mikekarnj@MaidThis No doubt. Also, many STR property management companies that hosts use have criminally bad fee structures for cleaning and maintenance. They are the ones managing the listings, and they are definitely milking homeowners and guests for profit.
@NeelBParekh@mikekarnj@MaidThis It’s not uncommon or unreasonable for hosts (especially with homes that sleep many guests) to build in a 10% premium on the cleaning fee to cover common guest damages without having to go through Airbnb’s horrible claims process. It’s not for profit.
@_0001337 @nickgerli1 -30% home price with today’s interest rates would equal the ~same monthly cost as paying the market top price for that house with JAN’s rates. This will be an awesome opportunity for investors with cash. This is not a crash. There is no rush to the exits.
