Met an Indian startup last week that built a high end ICU ventilator in just 84 days. The founders are 30yo engineers with no prior medical device experience. Today, 260 of their ventilators are being used by hospitals across India. The company has a team of 50+ people, is profitable and is competing head-on with global brands like Philips. India’s healthcare problems are massive, but they are not unsolvable. The more healthcare startups I meet, the more optimistic I feel about the future of Indian healthcare.
Hundreds of determined engineers and doctors are working together to build a healthcare system that will look radically different a decade from now.

मर्यादित भाषा ही भारत की आत्मा है !

भारत केवल एक भौगोलिक राष्ट्र नहीं, अपितु एक सनातन सांस्कृतिक चेतना है। यह वह पुण्यभूमि है जहाँ मानव-जीवन को केवल अधिकारों के आधार पर नहीं, बल्कि कर्तव्यों, मर्यादाओं, सदाचार और पारस्परिक सम्मान के आधार पर परिभाषित किया गया है। हमारी सनातन संस्कृति का मूल स्वर यही है कि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के भीतर दिव्यता का वास है, अतः प्रत्येक के प्रति आदर, विनम्रता और शिष्टाचार का व्यवहार होना चाहिए।

वेदों ने हमें सिखाया कि “संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं” साथ चलो, साथ विचार करो और संवाद के माध्यम से समाज का निर्माण करो। भारतीय परम्परा में मतभेद स्वीकार्य हैं, किन्तु मनभेद नहीं; विचारों का प्रतिवाद स्वीकार्य है, किन्तु व्यक्तियों का अपमान कभी स्वीकार्य नहीं रहा।

लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में प्रत्येक नागरिक को अपनी बात कहने, असहमति व्यक्त करने, प्रदर्शन करने तथा शासन की नीतियों की आलोचना करने का पूर्ण अधिकार है। यही लोकतंत्र की शक्ति और उसकी गरिमा है। किन्तु जब विरोध की अभिव्यक्ति मर्यादा की सीमा का अतिक्रमण कर अशोभनीय, अपमानजनक अथवा अमर्यादित भाषा का रूप धारण कर लेती है, तब वह केवल किसी व्यक्ति का नहीं, बल्कि राष्ट्र की सांस्कृतिक चेतना का भी अवमूल्यन करती है।

हाल के दिनों में सार्वजनिक मंचों पर माननीय प्रधानमंत्री के प्रति जिस प्रकार की अभद्र, अशिष्ट और अपमानजनक भाषा का प्रयोग किया गया; विशेषतः उनकी स्वर्गीया पूज्या माताजी के प्रति जिस प्रकार के असम्मानजनक शब्द कहे गए, वे भारतीय संस्कृति, सभ्यता और सनातन जीवन-दृष्टि के सर्वथा प्रतिकूल हैं। किसी भी मतभेद, वैचारिक संघर्ष अथवा राजनीतिक असहमति का समाधान कभी भी अपशब्दों से नहीं हो सकता। ऐसी भाषा न लोकतंत्र की मर्यादा है और न ही भारत की आत्मा।

हमारी संस्कृति तो यह सिखाती है कि विरोधी के प्रति भी संयम, शिष्टाचार और गरिमा बनी रहे। रामायण में युद्धभूमि के मध्य भी मर्यादा का पालन है; महाभारत में भीषण संघर्ष के बीच भी संवाद और सम्मान की अनेक परम्पराएँ दिखाई देती हैं; श्रीमद्भागवत करुणा, क्षमा और सद्भाव का संदेश देती है। भारतीय परम्परा में तो शत्रु के प्रति भी अपमानजनक भाषा का समर्थन नहीं किया गया।

संपूर्ण संत समाज और आध्यात्मिक जगत ऐसे अमर्यादित शब्दों से अत्यंत आहत है। हमारी स्पष्ट मान्यता है कि सार्वजनिक जीवन में आसीन किसी भी व्यक्ति के साथ असहमति हो सकती है, किन्तु उसके प्रति अशिष्ट, अपमानजनक और निम्नस्तरीय भाषा का प्रयोग कभी भी उचित नहीं कहा जा सकता। राष्ट्र के सर्वोच्च संवैधानिक एवं लोकतांत्रिक पदों की गरिमा का सम्मान करना प्रत्येक नागरिक का नैतिक दायित्व है। पद का सम्मान किसी दल विशेष का नहीं, बल्कि लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था का सम्मान है।

भारतीय संस्कृति का वैश्विक परिचय ही हमारी विनम्रता, शालीनता और उदात्त दृष्टि है। संसार हमें ऋषि-मुनियों की संतति के रूप में जानता है। हम वह सभ्यता हैं जो “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्” का उद्घोष करती है; जो प्रत्येक प्राणी में ईश्वर का दर्शन करती है; जो वृक्ष, वनस्पति, पशु-पक्षी और समस्त सृष्टि के प्रति भी करुणा एवं सम्मान का भाव रखती है। जब हमारी संस्कृति इतनी व्यापक और उदात्त है, तब हमारी भाषा भी उसी गरिमा का प्रतिबिंब होनी चाहिए।

आज आवश्यकता इस बात की है कि विशेषकर युवा पीढ़ी यह समझे कि भाषा केवल अभिव्यक्ति का माध्यम नहीं, बल्कि संस्कार का दर्पण है।जिस समाज की भाषा मर्यादित होती है, उसका भविष्य भी उज्ज्वल होता है।कटुता, अपमान और अशिष्टता कभी भी स्थायी समाधान नहीं देती; संवाद, विवेक और शालीनता ही राष्ट्र को आगे ले जाते हैं।

देश के विद्यार्थियों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के प्रति आदरणीय प्रधानमन्त्री जी की संवेदनशीलता सजगता स्तुत्य है। उनके द्वारा शिक्षा व्यवस्था को अधिक पारदर्शी, उत्तरदायी, गुणवत्तापूर्ण तथा विद्यार्थी-केंद्रित बनाने के उद्देश्य से अनेक सुधारात्मक कदम उठाए गए हैं, ताकि शिक्षा व्यवस्था अधिक सुदृढ़ हो, विद्यार्थियों के हितों की बेहतर रक्षा हो तथा उनके भविष्य के साथ किसी प्रकार का अन्याय न होने पाए। किसी भी नीति या व्यवस्था का उद्देश्य यही होना चाहिए कि विद्यार्थियों को निष्पक्ष, सुरक्षित और गुणवत्तापूर्ण शैक्षिक वातावरण प्राप्त हो तथा उनके जीवन-निर्माण की प्रक्रिया अधिक सशक्त बने।

हम उन सभी व्यक्तियों के लिए परमात्मा से प्रार्थना करते हैं जिन्होंने द्वेषपूर्वक आहत करने वाली अमर्यादित भाषा का प्रयोग किया। ईश्वर उन्हें सद्बुद्धि-सद्विचार-सद्विवेक प्रदान करें ताकि वे भारत की महान सांस्कृतिक परम्पराओं, मान-मर्यादाओं, नैतिक मूल्यों व लोकतांत्रिक आदर्शों का सम्मान करते हुए राष्ट्र-निर्माण में सकारात्मक भूमिका निभा सकें।
