💔 My uncle was killed on Oct. 7 in Adi Seneyto, near Adwa, Tigray. My family says Ethiopian military jets bombed his home, killing two civilians and injuring others.
Abiy Ahmed’s government is killing innocent civilians in their own homes.
Ayaaaaay 💔 Rest in peace. 🕊️
No accountability nor redress for victims of #TigrayGenocide, a Genocide that killed over 800,000 people in 2020-2022 - and yet #Tigray becomes a battlefield for another round war... May God have mercy on our people.
The Tigrayan diaspora in the United States are holding a public protest against the United Arab Emirates, demanding that the UAE stop supplying drones to Ethiopia.
News: #Drone_strikes kill civilians including #IDPs in #Tigray’s #Shiraro and #Adwa, residents say
Drone strikes reportedly killed and injured civilians in separate attacks in Shiraro, North Western Zone, and Adwa, in Central Zone of the Tigray Region, on Saturday night, according to eyewitnesses and residents who spoke to #Addis_Standard.
In Adwa, residents reported that several civilians were killed after drone strikes hit several locations in the city, although the exact number of casualties could not be independently verified.
A drone strike hit an IDP camp in Shiraro at around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, killing nine people and injuring 14 others, according to an eyewitness at the camp.
The eyewitness told Addis Standard that the strike hit an area of the camp known as #Adi_Abay, where people displaced from #Western_Tigray are sheltering.
“The most distressing part was that a mother was killed together with her days-old baby. It is very sad,” the eyewitness said.

No words can describe this level of societal decay. How can you do this to your own people who have already paid such an unimaginable price defending #Tigray against a genocidal war?
Ethiopia: First hand account of Eritrean troops now entering northern Tigray. Arriving South of Irob and marched into Adigrat. Given the treatment of people in Irob in recent years (disappearances and torture) civilians are wary. 1/2
@RasSonderriis@WediTigrai99@TeklehaymanotG That cannot simply be reduced to people being “reasonably suspected” of TPLF loyalty.
Also, calling people “good Tigrayans” is incredibly condescending. We do not need to qualify as the “good” members of our ethnicity to deserve basic rights or empathy.
@RasSonderriis@WediTigrai99@TeklehaymanotG abuses and disappearances of civilians from Irob.
And regarding the recent war, human-rights organisations documented arbitrary and apparently ethnically motivated arrests of Tigrayans in Addis Ababa including identity checks followed by detention.
Bombing and burning of houses have started in Tigray - More than 50 people have been already killed in fighting. This war had killed largest number of people in this century only 3 years ago.
Pope Leo prays for Ethiopia's Tigray region.
In his remarks at the General Audience, the Pope appealed to all parties to cease hostilities, noting that “only honest engagement can lay the foundations for lasting peace.”
The situation in Tigray is deteriorating considerably. In recent hours, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF) have intensified their clashes with the Ethiopian army. Numerous skirmishes have been reported along the Tekeze River in western Tigray, in the Wolkayt area on the border with the Afar region, and in various parts of Amhara.
#EthiopiaWatch🇪🇹: Last week, PM Abiy's government suspended Tigrai TV "indefinitely." This week, phone and internet service across Tigray have gone dark.
This is the handiwork of a Nobel Peace laureate.
WELCOME TO CENSORSHIP IN ETHIOPIA.
Over 600,000 civilians killed, 100,000+ women raped & vital infrastructure deliberately destroyed in the recent #Tigray war. With renewed war, the international community has a duty to act now to prevent further atrocities

As war returns to Tigray, there is deep concern that Ethiopian government forces will resume their mass atrocities against the Tigrayan people. https://t.co/Oe1ddzvPG1
The fact is, Ethiopia has become hell on Earth for Tigrayans. We have endured unimaginable suffering, persecution, displacement, and injustice.
#Tigray 💛❤️ 💔
It is truly heartbreaking to witness the #Ethiopian regime once again resorting to the mass detention of Tigrayans in Addis Ababa, many of whom fled the ongoing war in Tigray. And yet, they tell you this is a war against the TPLF. 😡
#Tigray is once again engulfed in a devastating war, putting millions of civilians at grave risk.
Alongside 17 Tigrayan organizations, we demand an immediate ceasefire, an end to the systemic siege & a political settlement that addresses the root causes & secures lasting peace.
Ethiopia did this to #Tigray in 2021, and now credible reports suggest it is happening all over again. Freezing bank accounts and denying civilians access to their salaries, savings, and remittances is collective economic punishment. How many times must Tigrayans suffer the same injustice? Cutting people off from their own money is not peace or reconciliation; it is another attack on civilian life. The people of #Tigray deserve dignity, justice, and access to their own livelihoods. We will not forget, and we will not stay silent.
@UNHumanRights@EUatUN@EUCouncil@hrw
Sources in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia revealed that ALL bank accounts opened in Tigray has been suspended. This means Tigrayans are denied access to their hard earned savings. #TigrayGenocide continues.
