@GergelyOrosz@karpathy so now even the least tech savvy PM’s can ping claude to make changes to software with no engineer in the loop. that’s…. great. the bottleneck to good software was always “dummies can’t write code”
@LoresongGame@bendee983 LLM’s are great & getting better, im not sure why you think this will correspond to a mass reckoning for SWE work. the problem for execs & owners was never “im not able to create greenfield saas templates quick enough, i better hire more SWE’s”. you just dont understand our job.
@dariusparzygnat@jyoti_mann1 you have “founder” in your profile and wearing a bowtie in your dp, but your posts get 0-1 likes on average. you don’t need to be giving advice to engineers (or anybody) about anything
@ibuildthecloud the amount of replies and OP that think the perf bottleneck for front end web is javascript is too damn high. like do you guys actually care about stuff or do you want to yap on twitter all day? if you actually want to learn something and know what you’re talking about, do this:
@NavinFS@zanmataisei@bee_fumo bugs suddenly popping up in a long feature-complete software after the maintainer started using AI is a good enough indicator. downgrading to an earlier version (eg: switching to a commit before the AI slop) and bugs being gone is another pretty solid heuristic.
