@FlaBryan You Panicans need to actually look at the numbers there is not a single county in Florida that’s homestead property tax is over 14% of the countys property tax revenue. Most it's 10% or less. So take 14% of the total property tax revenue that is the maximum a county can claim.

@LondonRiverSFW Here is a crazy idea: how about counties like mine cut the 3% from their spending, which is the amount of revenue that the homestead property tax provides? The first place they can cut is the Flock Safety Contract, then all the not-for-profits that they donate money to.

@JeffreyBrandes In my county homesteaded property tax makes up 9% of the property tax and 3% of the revenue of the county. I'm in a unincorporated area. There is easily 3% wasteful spending that can be cut.

@gnuman1979 The merchant sets the price so they can avoid all rounding issues if they wished. If they are not willing to set the price in such a way that rounding does not need to occur, then should not take a penny from the consumer.
