@ZoomerHistorian “Can someone explain which one was freedom and which one was colonization?” Rhodesia was both free and colonial because those concepts aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact they reinforce each other. Colonialism provides abundance and good governance that make freedom possible
@captive_dreamer Every cause she supported ended up losing.
Ted Cruz (2016): lost
DeSantis (2024): lost
Kamala Harris (2024): lost
Hamas: lost
Hezbollah: lost
Iran: lost
But apparently it’s MAGA folks who are “defeated and demoralized” lol
@AezzieUwU@GrantMa25066011 Idk what America First means, but I think the most basic thing one could do to put their country (whichever country it may be) is to not elect foreigners to represent it because a foreigner will probably put his foreign people and culture first.
@captive_dreamer they want universal healthcare because they want to euthanize patients or let them slowly die on waiting lists. So, ultimately their goal is to kill normal and hard working people
@SenatorBeau@captive_dreamer@ThomBrady5 I once pretended to be leftist to infiltrate a socialist group and couldn’t survive for more than a month. The amount of mental health capital you burn while you navigate the latest social taboos and walk on the eggshells of political correctness is insane even for a pretender
The magic is totally gone. The entire trailer feels dark and grim. It doesn’t have the same whimsy and delight that the first two movies specifically had with Chris Columbus directing and the iconic John Williams score. This feels like a generic HP themed HBO show. Like cosplay.
@KaiserLoengramm Liberalism is a parasitic ideology that leeched off the civilizational successes of a previous traditional framework of culture and morality whose accomplishments it claimed while tearing its very fabric. Now that we have pure, unadulterated liberalism, we can see its real fruits
@memeticsisyphus The constitution and the rights it granted worked in the first 150 years not because of liberalism, but in spite of it. It's because people were still largely religious and practiced self government. When liberal secularism finally became the default culture, things collapsed
@lonestardraco@memeticsisyphus it's not because there's a conflict on the other side of the world. That's only a pretext. If Israel didn't exist, they would still want you dead nonetheless
