The Swiss National Science Foundation @snsf_ch recently published an interactive report with lots insights into our adiabatic compressed air energy storage technology. Have a read here (available in EN/DE/FR):

@DelftStorage @gzanganeh@supsi_ch @man_e_s @ETH@bkw @AmbergTech @swissgridag Overall, we are keeping the activities in stealth mode until we have addressed the most pressing issues with the technology. So far all the results are very promising and we hope to go ahead with commercialization in the coming years.
.@btenergy we would like to draw your attention to our technology and its impact on the future grid. Our adiabatic #CAES technology provides cheap grid-scale storage for seamless integration of renewables in the grid. Would love to touch base with you!
We are having a black-out in #Lugano since over 30 min! This can be easily avoided with black-start ready energy storage systems such our #CAES technology! With a small plant in the surrounding area we could provide 12 hr of electricity to the whole city! #EnergyStorage
We had a great symposium in May with major European institutions working on the CAES technology to discuss the achievements so far and the challenges ahead! Many thanks to our academic partners @ETH and @supsi_ch for the organization!
Meet the giant cave-dwelling battery made of air. @nickkwek checks out this prototype energy storage system in the Swiss alps which claims it can improve efficiency by 30%.
@bhandari17@gzanganeh@ColdFusion_TV It does affect it, depending on rock type, to different extents. That's why we pre-select and examine the rocks we employ carefully.
@bhandari17@gzanganeh@ColdFusion_TV We use selected sedimentary or vulcanic rocks, depending on application & proprietary concrete tiles for mech. stability and insulation.
