What is the answer to find a way for humanity

To find something greater—not to achieve it—to remember

That would rejuvenate the psyche when it hearkens?

Why is it difficult to avoid chaos or a hell of personal design,

Originating from the deepest recesses of the human’s being?

Or instead listen to kindness, grace, and beauty?

Why are destructive urges chaotic while seeming so freeing?

This is the crisis we face, and one would think it’s simple to be good,

Yet the answer may evade even the greatest sage or sleuth

Why are there excuses and so many apparent obstacles

When forging our way to the simplest of truths?

Perhaps the answer is simple—Or we have to find it for ourselves

Not simply walk the path that has already been trod,

Or perhaps we need guidance now more than ever

Political streamer Hasan Piker notes that more establishment Democrats have condemned him over comments he did not make than have demanded the release of Sama Safi, a 20-year-old American imprisoned by Israel without charge in the occupied West Bank since June. Her doctors warn that Israel’s denial of adequate medical care puts her at risk of irreversible, life-threatening damage to her internal organs.

As journalist Prem Thakker points out, Chris Van Hollen is the only potential 2028 presidential contender in the Senate who has called on the Trump administration to secure Safi’s release.

Van Hollen is also introducing a resolution requiring the State Department to provide answers about nine Americans killed in the West Bank since 2022 with zero accountability, as well as the broader abuses Palestinians face under Israeli occupation. He says he will bring it to a vote when Congress returns.

This latest wave of Hasan Piker hysteria shows that there is nothing these freaks won't pretend to believe in order to stomp out criticism of Israel and shut down all leftward movement in US politics. The guy made the completely obvious and indisputable observation that Jews are endangered by the Zionist tactic of painting all Jews as a monolith who support Israel, and now the top Democrats in Washington are pretending to believe he said Jewish people deserve to be attacked. The way they're all just lining up behind a narrative they all know is false has got to be one of the most nakedly cynical uses of this smear I've ever seen employed.

Writing about "antisemitism" smears in the year 2026 is so tedious, because everyone already knows this tactic is bullshit and everything worth saying about it has already been said. But it really is fascinating how they're looking us right in the eye and telling us they're going to keep using this weapon to slash at the left until the blade has completely broken rather than simply espousing popular policies that make the world a better place.

Hasan Piker has now been condemned by dozens of Democratic senators and members of Congress, which must mean that his comments were so horrifying they would shock anyone with a conscience.

According to these fairly scripted denunciations, Piker said that American Jews “deserve” or “bear responsibility” for rising antisemitism. Here’s how Sen. Cory Booker put it: “Suggesting that Jewish Americans bear responsibility for hatred or violence directed against them is wrong, dangerous, and antisemitic.”

Rep. Jimmy Panetta edited it slightly, saying: “The suggestion that Jewish Americans who publicly support Israel bear responsibility for violence against the broader Jewish community is wrong, reckless, and antisemitic.”

So if Hasan Piker’s remarks were severe enough to warrant this extensive round of condemnation, it should be easy to pick them out. See if you can find his below. (The answer is in the reply.)

This point about Hasan Piker is exactly right. This joint Dem/GOP/media campaign to vilify and destroy Hasan Piker (including with outright lies) isn't about him as a person.

He's just their most convenient vehicle at the moment to re-establish the long-standing bipartisan rule that going too far with criticisms of the US/Israel relationship (or being too successful with criticisms/activism against Israel) guarantees mainstream personal destruction by being widely branded a bigot, racist and anti-Semite over and over.

(Establishment Dems are most enthusiastic in these Hasan attacks because they have a separate motive: fear that they are losing control of their party to this insurgent anti-Israel and left-populist faction whom Hasan symbolizes, so destroying Hasan (and guaranteeing El-Sayed's loss for good measure) is an added bonus for them: similar to how the UK Labour Party preferred to lose to Boris Johnson in 2019 than win with Jeremy Corbyn, and Blairite Labour factions actually worked to help defeat their own leader).

I've had and voiced countless criticisms of Hasan over the years and he's done the same to me. They don't matter at all because, as @lliveandalive astutely notes here, none of this is really about Hasan himself but about re-equating Israel opposition with anti-Semitism. They've done it to countless other people before him (just look at Thomas Massie). Defending Hasan from the lies being told about him isn't about defending Hasan the person (although where lies are involved, such as the false claims about his most recent comments, he should be defended), but far more important are the broader policy issues at stake.
