@WillMilesSEC@nosnibor1 But doesn't the fact that Brady's case went to the Court of Appeals prove that those decisions would still be subject to judicial review? A 32 team league and a 100+ team league would be very different. Add in public vs private and it would still be a mess.
@CJRealHoops2 Except he didn't change public policy. He ruled on Sorsby. If another player in another state had a similar issue, this case would have no legal effect on that case.
Again, I think it's wrong, but look at the bigger picture. This is a contractual matter about one person.
@scoduckz End result: Amy Comey Barrett decides Notre Dame wins National Title.
Hear me out. Each state's court says the home town team wins. Consolidated appeal to Supreme Court. Supreme Court has 4/4 split on Harvard/Yale, but they are FCS. Barrett went to ND; they win.
@Troy_McClure4@NotWhoYouDream An injunction does not prohibit appeal. An injunction prohibits the NCAA from enforcing its ruling. A lower judge can't block an appeal of its own order; that would be wild.
@iowahawkblog The NCAA is not letting him play. A judge has granted an injunction to stop to the NCAA from making Sorsby ineligible. The Iowa treatment may or may be wrong, but the NCAA is not the bad guy in the Sorsby case.
@FiredUpCoug Depends. If you criticize their part of the country, they are best friends. If it is FCS football, absolute rivals. Otherwise, mostly don't think about each other. Too much space with too few people to care.
@auesar@DietCoke_Esq I was just looking and was disappointed to not see any older than 10 years and realized that they uploaded all the old ones 10 years ago. Now I have to figure out which ones were during my time. I don't see years by any of them.
@CPWolfDad@sspringersports@lubbockonline He was betting on his own team while at Indiana. (Police might look into that for fraud, even if ultimately not found). Additionally, allegations that he was using straw man bettors while at Texas to get around laws. Not sure which LE, but those are both potential issues.
@ASFleischman Not quite the same, but I had a great Evidentiary Motion asking for dismissal of a DWI/DUI today. I have my brief mostly already done and they finally review my issues and dismiss. Always nice to win (esp. for client), but I like to sometimes have the contested hearings and win.
@ArthurBoreman I'm a PD in Worthington, MN. This town, (which is clearly a bit of an outlier) has more Hispanics than white people and uses interpret. for >20 languages (I keep a list of my clients') But Euros would say we are just a rural American farm town, no different than any other...
