#Somalia’s Ministry of Health says 1 person was killed and 55 injured during recent armed clashes in #Mogadishu.
This figure is totally different from #UNHCR and #NRC data, which reported 13 fatalities and 189 injuries.
Only Governments should have exclusive monopoly of firepower. Raw unbriddled obsession to Grab power through violence by non state actors must be tamed by superior firepower. The worst curse third world failed states endure are weak executives. HSM must rise up to the task of unifying Somalia. Nations are better preserved by Authoritarian benevolent rulers who maintain stability, territorial integrity & overall law & order instead of becoming failed States. Warlordism must have no place in a modern State. Bad Governance can always be corrected with time. The US is a classical case of poorly managed country but the opposition cannot just pick up arms.!!!
From the streets of Mogadishu to the World Cup stage. 🇸🇴⚽️
Two Somali players — one representing Qatar, one Sweden — rose through hard work and belief to reach football's biggest tournament. A Somali referee earned Africa's Ref of the Year and now officiates the world's best.
Proof that Somali people prosper when given the opportunity. Pure greatness. 💫 #SomaliExcellence #WorldCup2026
Amazingly done @US2SOMALIA Thank you,for visiting and showcasing Somali history and heritage across cities in Somalia!
Your visit to the ancient rock art at Laas Geel highlights the incredible archaeological richness of Northen Somalia and Somalia as a whole. Actions like this strengthen stability, promote unity, and bring the Somali communities in Hargeisa, Mugdisho, and beyond closer together.
We appreciate your continued engagement with Somali culture and people.👍
A lack of clarity risks public trust
While the preliminary figures in the June 4 PoC Note serve a legitimate humanitarian purpose, the document as presented fails the transparency test and that misleads the public.
The problem
Nowhere in the note does it clearly state: “These figures are preliminary estimates, not verified counts.”
The document uses passive phrases like “preliminary data indicates” and “approximately,” but for an average reader or a journalist scanning for headlines those caveats are too subtle.
The note presents specific numbers (12,500 households, 13 fatalities, 189 injuries) without explaining the methodology, margin of error, or the difference between a rapid estimate and a verified figure.
Why this matters
When a reader sees a detailed number like “12,500 households” next to a date that is literally the next day, their skepticism is rational. And when organisations fail to explicitly address that obvious question.
“How could you possibly know that?” they erode credibility.
The public is left with two bad options: either believe what seems impossible, or dismiss the entire report as fabricated. Neither serves the cause of protecting civilians.
Without that, they aren’t just informing the public. They are inadvertently misleading them.
Preliminary estimates save lives in the moment. But when the same organisations simultaneously control the emergency alarm and the final verification with no independent audit, the public has every right to ask: who is really being served?

Amb. Abdallah Mohamed @warfak1 states what Somalia has long known, territorial integrity is non-negotiable. What is 'Somaliland'? Not a country but a single clan enclave. Somalia has exercised restraint for decades, even as international actors fed the narrative of separatism. Meanwhile, Nigeria crushed Biafra, Senegal ended Casamance, Mali retook Kidal, DRC reintegrated Katanga. No AU member lost its right to territorial integrity because of past instability. Somalia has rebuilt its army and institutions. The restraint is over. Same right. Same action.
🚨 Scoop : Hassan Sheikh Regime Threatens Somaliland Militarily Again
Abdullah Mohamed Warfa (@warfak1), Somalia’s Permanent Rep to the AU, told @AlJazeera that the so-called Somalian army is preparing to wage war on Somaliland — specifically naming Berbera and Hargeisa as targets.
Warfa — son of a war criminal — is now threatening Somaliland with force?
This is a direct military threat from @HassanSMohamud regime!!
This is what happens when war criminals are never held accountable!
