So this is the image I originally saw. On a phone if the screen isn't bright enough you don't see the arm, so it looks like someone is hanging, and it looks like a white triangle cloth soo... I did a double take. I don't think it's racist, just unfortunate, like a lot of ads that don't realize what it will look like cropped in a certain way.

I wonder how many accidents would happen with FSD enganged on every single care in a city. Has tesla ever simulated this, like bought an abandoned town, put 1000 cars in it a and just let them drive around simulating people going to work and home and stuff? Has Google done this with Waymo? I think that would interesting data to have. I think there would be a good chance of zero accidents, or close to zero, with none that are high velocity that would be likely to cause a fatality. I mean blowouts and stuff like that could still happen. They should do this, if they haven't already. @Tesla @Waymo @Google

@deobfuscations Directly plugged into a tradding platform. I used SoFi before and I liked that I can send money to my trading account right on the same platform. I ended up swtiching for the interest rate and different accounts you can create

I agree, in fact I think that "Artificial" is the wrong word to change. Intelligence I think gives too much credit to what is actually happening with this process. But if you change intelligency I think you have to change Artificial too. Algorithm Generator or something like that I think would be more appropriate.

The reason Islam scares me is because a lot of muslims believe their faith as strongly as members of the church believe their faith.

Really strict member of the Church will avoid rated R movies and go to the Temple every weekend, and will share the gospel with their friends and with strangers.

Really strict muslims believe that Sharia law should be the law of land for every nation on earth.

And for those who want Sharia Law these are the polls that you see from Pew Polls:

"Death for leaving Islam: 86% in Egypt, 82% in Jordan, 79% in Afghanistan, 76% in Pakistan, 66% in Palestinian territories. Even after weighting by the share who want sharia, that is still a majority of all Muslims in several of the most populous countries.
Stoning for adultery and amputation for theft also poll in the 70–80% range among sharia supporters in Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Palestinian territories."

Sure not all Muslims are strict practicing Muslims. And much like christians a lot of them practice the parts of their religion that they believe and ignore the parts they don't feel strongly about. And a lot of them are Muslim for cultural reasons. And there's not problem with any of that.

But those that are full believers, that practice the faith the way that it's taught, believe that there should be a global religion of Islam, and the whole world under Sharia Law and that Christians and Jews should be second class citizens in this World Hegemony, and atheists and polytheists should be exerminated.

Muslims aren't bad. But Islam has some teachings that are just fundamentally incompatible with the ethics of the West.

That's a dumb example, the right to bear arms means that you have the right to possess weapons, so you can procure those weapons however you want, it doesn't require the labor of others. A good example would be the right to an attorney as this very much requires the labor of someone else.

I had a streak of over a thousand miles and could have kept going until there were posts about how disengagements will train it to learn your parking preferences and Route preferences, and I'm not sure if that's live yet but I do want it to learn those things so I disengage several times a trip now so that it can learn my preferences.

I just bought a new Model Y and can confidently say cars and Teslas are no longer the same product.

A car is like a pony or horse. I still like driving a stick shift, it’s fun!

Tesla with FSD is a transportation robot.

I had one of the first Model 3s in 2017. FSD was basically slightly better cruise control. Great on the highway. But honestly felt oversold.

So I have been driving a BMW for the past 3 years. Great horse, fun to drive.

But tried FSD recently and holy shit — it’s a personal Waymo. Works perfectly. I just went to the Fremont factory to get my new car, entered my address 30+ mins away, pushed a button, and got home without doing a thing.

I don’t think most people realize how good this is, probably because they only experienced an early version previously. This is 1000x better. Metaphor for AI writ large. Like trying GPT 3.5 and thinking it’s cute and hallucinates, and dismissing it…while Astra launches in 2026 and is orders of magnitude more capable.

Something I find myself doing is finding the routes with the straightest roads even if it's a little longer. Not because it can't handle windy roads, because it certainly can. But because it's become a full on chauffeur for me and I want a smooth ride if I'm going to be doing other things... in a safe manner of course.

Things that allow us to have more meaningful human communication and self reflection are good, and things that substitute that with something that's easier, but more hollow, are bad. And the most of those things are good, but the unlimieted entertainment I think is the biggest detriment.
