@juliannn_67@hurrtrackerapp It takes a while to get familiar with the general concepts of storms and how they travel. You’re not alone. Most of us (in FL) are just beat up, exhausted and looking for reassurance. WPTV does a good job. Watch on web or Roku if not your local station.
@NWSMiami Thank you! So many forecasters hesitate to say ANYTHING about potential impacts it gets scary. Living in SFL means obsessive monitoring of every cloud & breeze between Africa and the US. I’ll keep watching but I feel I can breathe a bit. For now. ..
.@RonDeSantis released a statement:
"You do not have to wear those masks, I mean please take them off. Honestly, it's not doing anything and we've got to stop with this covid theater. So, if you want to wear it, FINE, but this is ridiculous."
Hey #Unforgotten fans in N America. New season starts this Sunday 3rd, 9/8c @masterpiecepbs After each show I’ll post, a new never seen before #sunnysbackpack contents pic on my fave app @WeAre8Official page. (It’s free to join and donates to charity so all round v cool) 🙏🏽♥️
@jwhock78@ryanweather Not $1,000.
Try 1%+ of house value for annual home insurance. So $6,000 a year for a house with a market value of $600,000.
I don’t blame DeSantis for hurricanes but I can blame him for a bunch of other stuff. And turning away fed funds to address climate change? Not good.
I want that Florida back, the Florida of Jimmy Buffett and Reuben Askew and Bob Graham … when Governors cut ribbons at Disney rather than built roadblocks … before Brickell was Wall Street.
Before the anger, and Stand Your Ground, and politicians’ flags flying off boats.
@CraigSetzer I just learned a lot by reading only three of your recent posts. And I thought I knew a lot about storms living in SFL (and obsessing) since Andrew.
For those of us with hurricane PTSD, I appreciate calm clear early info.
Love the “slide” reference! Feels very true.
Video of protesters being removed from Capitol a short while ago.Among those being removed from Governor’s office in early evening was DNC member @tomaskenn Assume they will be charged
How about, instead of worshipping invisible deities written about by men 2000 years ago, we worship what's real. Planet Earth and all of it's inhabitants, human and nonhuman. The rivers, mountains, lakes, forests. The sun and the moon and the stars. Our families and friends.
