A 5-day week will not only benefit bank employees but also enhance customer service; it's time for implementation. #5DayBankingNow #AIBOC @PMOIndia

[Rupam Roy @rupamsmail]

Every 24x7 banking service has a banker behind it and a family waiting at home. We agreed to the 5-day week in March 2024 and accepted longer weekday hours. The regulator, the insurer and the Government all work 5 days.

Our demand is just. The delay is not.

Five-Day Banking is not merely about an additional day off. It is about productivity, employee well-being and modernising the working framework of the banking sector.

RBI, DFS, LIC, CVC, SEBI, BSE, NSE, NPCI, IRDAI, Ministry & NABARD-5 working days.

Then why not banking?

A demand already agreed upon must move from commitment to implementation.

5 DAYS BANKING-NOW!
Respect Agreements. Respect Bankers

#5DaysBanking is a simple and genuine demand.

Bankers deserve time for family, health and a better work-life balance.

The demand is clear.
The need is real.
The unity is strong.
Implement it #5DayBankingNow

[All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) @aiboc_in]

Bankers keep India connected 24×7.

But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.

A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.

The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.

Implement 5-Day Banking now.

India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.

At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.

Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.

A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia

[Amol Kautkar @AmolKautkar]

Let’s push for modern practices! A 5-day banking week is not just fair but essential for keeping up with today’s workforce needs. #5DayBankingNow https://t.co/fOT5nNhrH9

When the world is moving to a 4-day week, and banking is already 24x7 in the digital era, bankers asking for a 5-day week isn’t a luxury. It’s justice.

IBA has agreed. The understanding is signed.
Now the Government must honour its commitment – no more excuses, no more delays.

Respect the Settlement. Deliver it.

We demand #5DayBankingNow
