11 مئی 1947ء کی یہ تختی دیکھ لو- اس پر سر غلام حسین ہدایت اللہ کو ’’Premier of Sind‘‘ لکھا ہے۔ سندھ 1936ء میں بمبئی پریزیڈنسی سے الگ ہو کر اپنی اسمبلی اور حکومت والا الگ صوبہ بن چکا تھا۔ تاریخ یہ ہے، سندھ کسی نے 1947ء میں آکر ’’آزاد‘‘ نہیں کرایا۔

At the time of Partition in 1947, the region of West Pakistan (present-day Pakistan) had a estimated population of 32.5 million, now Pakistan has a estimated population of 250 million. This has meant mounting pressures that strain limited resources, making family planning essential for sustainable development. Encouraging families through education, awareness campaigns, and accessible reproductive health services, rather than authoritarian measures like China's former one child policy will offers a approach that respects individual autonomy while delivering societal benefits, no coercive measures are needed. Education will enables informed choices that align personal aspirations with Pakistan's best interests. By promoting family planning, Pakistan can slow population growth, easing demand for water, food, energy, and land while reducing pressure on housing, schools, healthcare, water systems, and other public services.

Family planning through education will improves outcomes by ensuring more resources per child for food, education, and healthcare. With fewer children, parents can invest more in each child's schooling, including girls’ education, helping break cycles of poverty and raise living standards. This approach strengthens family well being without the human rights concerns associated with state enforced limits, creating healthier, better educated generations that contribute more productively to society.

Empowering individuals, particularly women, with the knowledge and means to decide when and whether to have children enables them to pursue education and employment, advancing gender equity and visible participation. Education driven family planning would reduces pressure on public infrastructure while supporting a more prosperous and equitable society. By prioritising informed choice over coercion, Pakistan can harness demographic trends for long term stability and progress, that will translate into tangible improvements in living standards for all.
