@Millar_Colin Are you that stupid? The fact that other PL clubs are on a more even footing financially than those in the other euro leagues you reference is a moot point. Any PL club outside the established group is bound to be clipped by PSR so their best players go to the big 4.
@Millar_Colin I can’t tell if this is a joke or not? Due to the purposeful financial knee-capping imposed by your beloved big clubs not one of the teams you mentioned sustained a CL presence or vied for a title. Meanwhile these clubs sold 41 players in 4 years to those protected by FFP.
I get it, Mac City broke the rules and rh punishment should be doled out. But. After it all we go back to the status quo where 4 clubs who set the rules go unchecked to dominate the league again? Even though one of them is £1bn in debt and another finished 17th twice? Seems fair
Watching this game you realise the way to play against Brobbey is to let him have space and try to play football. Hes awful. Hes a great wrestler but a league 1 footballer at best
@LukeEdwardsTele As someone who’s not that bothered he’s gone I do disagree with the idea he dropped off last season. when Bruno was injured he was one of a very small group that still tried. He wasn’t maybe as dynamic or exciting , but he did a lot of dirty work to stop us getting battered
@LukeEdwardsTele Would have been fine if Eddie had stayed. Could have pumped in 10,000 more crosses and signed more premier league ‘proven’ dross. At least you’d be getting a hotline to it though
@MsiDouglas Totally agree with almost all of this. The only other concern is that the club were out of touch enough to think Howe was the right man despite what was an very poor season last time out and a pivot which patently didn’t suit him (and was 3 seasons too late). Bit of a red flag
@donhutch4 Normally think you're spot on Don, but Anderson was sold by Howe, Howe signed Elanga, over-played Murphy, didn't replace Pope and signed Wissa. We were also tactically awful last season showing how much we relied on Isak's ability to drift and come inside.
@LukeEdwardsTele Erm again Luke. You are happy to complain when it’s a team you actually care about. But when it’s nufc, week in week out doing exactly this, you gaslight the fanbase and say we’re unrealistic
@LukeEdwardsTele Interesting point Luke. I agree. But this is exactly the same tactical approach taken by Eddie Howe as we threw away a record number of points from winning positions, but nufc fans are meant to just be grateful we stopped being quite as shit
@LukeEdwardsTele I’m not sure that’s true or fair. The man who said he has the final say in all transfers and is responsible for our tactics and training surely is at least partially at fault for a hugely disappointing season, tactical naivety and a failure to progress on and off the pitch?
@London_W4 Just to confirm though, this was a council decision affecting 3 pubs without licenses. But they’ve actually been allowed to keep their outdoor seating until their licenses are approved. Literally not the narrative you’re pushing is it
@NUFCThreatLevel He’ll be a huge loss. Watching Tonali having to drop deeper and deeper in every game last season to cover for the ineptitude of the majority his teammates was painful. He was let down by a manager and a board who failed to support him and I suspect he thrives elsewhere
@ChrisDHWaugh Chris, do we think there is any hope whatsoever, given a) the lack of literal confirmation on his position b) some of the quality managers available post WC, that Howe isn’t in charge next season. Your line about players being sold the vision of a CL club seems critical
