Statement by the American Society of Anesthesiologists:
“In an unprecedented move, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans representing Connecticut, New York and Missouri have unilaterally declared it will no longer pay for anesthesia care if the surgery or procedure goes beyond an arbitrary time limit, regardless of how long the surgical procedure takes.
The American Society of Anesthesiologists calls on Anthem to reverse this proposal immediately.”
Joining the happy crowd to say that I matched! Eternally grateful to everyone who supported me in this process, including my friends, family, @OliveViewUCLA, and @Florez_Lab. See y’all in Chicagoland, where I will be joining @LoyolaOnc !

In 2017, I started studying young lung cancer and 4 years ago I treated the first pregnant woman with LC

Dear #Arizona Secretary of State @Adrian_Fontes
Why are registered voters in @maricopacounty been given "provisional ballots" and asked to come back within 5 days for ID verification when they brought to the voting center multiple forms of identification in accordance to state law A.R.S. § 16-579(A) ?
These ballots will be hand-counted and if the voter does not return within 5 days to an ID verification center their vote will be VOIDED!!!
Since when is a US Passport (clearly a federally-issued form of ID) not considered "sufficient" when accompanied with one of the many forms of address verification listed in the law?

Many early-career clinicians are not familiarized with clinical trials during their training, so the opportunity to educate future trialists is hindered. @IvyLorena_Md@DartmouthCancer@GeiselMed#oncology https://t.co/aVLKRaw72O
Today marks the first day of #LCAM . Did you know that we have a screening test for lung cancer? If you are 50-80yo w/ a smoking history of >20 pack years and are currently smoking or quit within the last 15 years, you are eligible for 🫁cancer screening! #lcsm

If anyone knows anything about #Boricuas is how PROUD we are of our beautiful island 🇵🇷!
This was not a "joke," but another completely unsurprising racist attack towards #Latinos .
NO one from #PuertoRico will condone or forget those that called us garbage
and while Boricuas in the island may not be able to vote for the US president, we are 5.8 million #PuertoRicans in the mainland
Florida 1.2 million
Georgia 124k
New York 1 million
North Carolina 132k
Ohio 133k
Pennsylvania 472k
Texas 269k
Wisconsin 64k

Gisèle Pelicot walking to take the stand today, her strength echoing in every step:
“It’s not for us to have shame, it’s for them,” she told the court.
"I want all women who have been raped to say: Madame Pelicot did it, I can too. I don't want them to be ashamed any longer,"
