Just tried my seventh therapist. During the 15 minute consult, I told her I was looking for someone who didn't make the session about themselves. She promised she would never do that.

First session, she's offended when I ask her not to talk about herself. I had to report this.

@AlobhaPatrick Developed adaptively != currently adaptive. This is psychopathology 101. But no you're right, much more prudent and effective to take an approach of "no there's nothing to understand about your condition, no way to make psychological sense of it, you're just fucked in the head"
