@ArisBreaker presenting his work on the impact of breast density in the development of oedema after breast RT at #ESTROAsia24. Dose to and volume of fatty tissue appear predictive (single cohort). A great way to wrap his PhD studies ! @elivaos#medphys#radonc@RequiteProject
At the ESTRO 2024 closing debate, speakers examined whether radiotherapy in the future will be delivered entirely by AI bots. @ESTRO_RT https://t.co/uLnbmWqsa3
🎂This week marks the 5-year anniversary of the MR-linac at @TheChrisiteNHS
To celebrate we're joining the team providing a deep dive into the advanced radiotherapy technology that is being used to treat and research cancers 🧵👇
@OfficialUoM@CRUKresearch
Yesterday, we hosted our annual MCRC - @TheChristieNHS#ESTRO24 Academic Reception with @HotelduVinbrand Glasgow 🏨
Thank you to all of you who came to network! It was so great to catch up with our national and international colleagues and discuss future collaborations 🌍🤝
👀
@OfficialUoM’s Tanwiwat (Break) Jaikuna demonstrated that our image-based data mining approach performs well in breast cancer patients.
This hypothesis generating study could help us understand which patients are at risk of persistent pain after radiotherapy 👥
🏆 Congrats Marcel van Herk on the van der Schueren Award at #ESTRO24, honoring dedicated #radonc education & pioneering research.

A MASSIVE congratulations to our very own @marianneaznar who has been newly promoted to a @OfficialUoM Professor 👏
We are absolutely delighted for you, and we cannot wait to see what your future in radiotherapy and medical physics holds 🥼

Roses are red, violets are blue,
To all who care for people with cancer,
We appreciate you.
We know how much everyone loves our MLC 💜! Happy Valentine's Day from Elekta!
*In #radiotherapy, an MLC (pictured here) is used to shape the radiation beam generated by a linac. ❤🌹❤️
Today is #WorldCancerDay! Around 1/2 of all cancer patients need radiotherapy, but only 1/10 of patients in low-income countries can access treatment. We've created an initiative to change that. #RaysofHope is helping countries provide #CancerCare4All.
Remember the good old days, when there were 6 Hallmarks of Cancer, and we all memorized them & felt they were spot-on?
Now, there are 14(!), including two emerging ones & two enabling characteristics. That's a lot of hallmarks😉
Great review though!🧐
