LETTER TO MY 16YEAR OLD SELF! ❤️
Dear 16-Year-Old Me (Bittu),
Looking at you in this photograph, I see a young boy from Shimla with big dreams in his eyes… and a lot of uncertainty in his heart. 🥹
You don’t know it yet, but life is going to take you on an extraordinary journey. From the quiet hills of Shimla to stages, studios, and screens across the world. You will meet thousands of people, play hundreds of characters, experience applause, criticism, success, failure, and moments that will test your courage.
But let me tell you something that will make you smile. 😍
After all these years… I am still you.😍😍
The same small-town boy who believed that “Kuch bhi ho sakta hai.”
The same boy who never allowed circumstances to define his dreams.
The same boy who laughed loudly, felt deeply and refused to give up.😎🤓
Yes, the world will change around you. Your name will travel farther than you ever imagined. But the most important thing you will carry with you is the spirit of that boy (Bittu) from Shimla — Curious, Hopeful, Stubborn and full of GRATITUDE! 🙏🙏
You will fall many times. But every fall will teach you how to stand TALLER. One day you will even call yourself “a SUCCESS STORY of FAILURES.”🏆
And you will mean it.❤️❤️🩹
So THANK YOU for DREAMING WITHOUT PERMISSION , for BELIEVING without PROOF, for WORKING without GUARANTEES.
Thank you for your INNOCENCE, your COURAGE, and your RELENTLESS HOPE. Because of you, I am still walking this journey with excitement at the age of 70+ !! Feeling like life is only at the INTERVAL POINT! 👏
Stay exactly the way you are dearest.
The world will try to CHANGE you.
But your greatest victory will be remaining YOURSELF!
With love, pride, and gratitude,
You…. Bittu, (now known as ANUPAM)
Just a little older, 😍
but still the boy from Shimla. ❤️🕉❤️

We have forwarded the following suggestions for the @mybmc budget vide email on 16th January and submitted hardcopy on 17th January 2025.
To,
The Municipal Commissioner,
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation
Respected sir,
We thank you for giving us the opportunity to give our suggestions for the upcoming BMC budget.
We, as an association of citizens residing in Chandivali (L ward), would request that you make provision in your budget for the following:
1) Allocate funds and start the BMC Online RTI portal to bring in more transparency and provide convenience to citizens who seek information from BMC.
2) STOP MISUSING BMC funds in the free distribution of cookers, sarees, and other freebies.
3) Allocate funds to build new, fully functional fire stations and invest more funds to make the existing mini fire stations functional.
4) Recruit additional ward-wise staff for the encroachment removal department to strictly enforce the "Pedestrian First" policy and the removal of footpath encroachments. Build and maintain encroachment-free footpaths as per your pedestrian-first policy. Team up with Mumbai police to clear encroachments and invoke legal provisions against hawkers using illegal gas cylinders on the footpaths.
5) A dedicated helpline for reporting complaints of encroachments. Most of the time, the BMC wards close online complaints, stating that they are "false complaints".
6) Draft a strict policy to stop the use of gas cylinders on the footpaths and roads.
7) Draft a strict, actionable policy to combat the nuisance of illegal banners and hoardings.
8) Policy to stop political encroachment of public spaces and amenities under the guise of public libraries, etc.
9) Invest to clamp down on air pollution and shut down Ready Mix Cement plants in the city.
10) Build dog shelters to deal with the stray dog menace.
11) Place garbage bins at a distance of 100 meters.
12) Invest in automatic, high-efficiency road-sweeping machines and automatic sewer cleaning machines.
13) Maintain and allocate new gardens and grounds for citizens.
14) Public parking places at prominent locations.
15) Increase staffing in the solid waste department.
16) Increase the number of local municipal clinics, provide free MRI and CT scan services, and provide medical aid for the needy. Additionally, increase the number of full-fledged municipal hospitals.
17) Renovate and maintain the BMC Marathi Schools. Increase the number of municipal schools and colleges.
18) Provide cable ducts on the side of the roads to avoid frequent digging of the roads.

@mybmcroads Where are the barricades and CCTV cameras as per the contract on DP Road 9, Powai road construction site? This is very dangerous for pedestrians, motorists and people living in that area. You don't seem to care about people's safety and life.
✓ A few days ago a person died after falling into a pit dug by the BMC at Tilak Nagar, Chembur. There have been three such incidents in Mumbai in the last four months.
✓ As per the tender document and contract agreement, barricading has to be done as per circular no. MGC-F-6342 dated 05-05-2018. If barricading is not done as per the provided specifications, the contractor is liable for a Rs. 5 lakh penalty on the first instance and a Rs. 10 lakh penalty for the second instance onwards.
✓ As per the tender document / contract, it's binding on the contractor to install high-definition CCTV cameras with Wi-Fi connections at a distance of every 100 meters, failing which the contractor will be liable for a Rs. 10,000 penalty per day per camera.
✓ If the contractor is not adhering to the basic safety rules, how can we expect them to construct the road according to the prescribed procedure, potentially leading to poorly constructed roads?
✓ We demand @mybmc penalise the contractor as the per contract agreement.
✓ if a common person fails to wear a helmet or park their vehicle in a no-parking zone, no time is wasted in penalising the citizen; similarly, @mybmc should penalise the contractor as per the terms of the contract agreement.

5 days ago, our MLA Dilip Lande made an announcement in a public meeting that, on Bhaubeej, he shall be distributing free mixers and grinders through @mybmc. Isn't this a violation of the code of conduct and misuse of public funds? @ECISVEEP@SpokespersonECI@TOIMumbai@HTMumbai@fpjindia@LokmatMumbai@mid_day

While @mybmc boasts about taking action against vendors using illegal cylinders on footpaths. Nothing substantial is seen on the ground , footpaths of chandivali farm road outside Boomerang and junction of DP road 9 are full of illegal vendors.
@mybmcWardL
@MTPHereToHelp Heavy vehicles are not allowed on DP Road 9, Powai. We have observed that the traffic police are not taking any action against them, and the use of dumpers and trucks on the newly constructed DP Road 9, which has a width of approximately 12 meters and is encroached on both sides without any footpaths for pedestrians to walk, is making the road more dangerous. The half constructed new road has already witnessed accidents. @mybmcRoads
