We the #Eritrean #BlueRevolution Front (#EBRF) commends Dr. @mrubin1971 for his clear-eyed and courageous warning: lifting sanctions on the Isaias Afwerki regime is not diplomacy, it is a strategic surrender that will haunt American interests for years to come.
Rewarding a totalitarian dictatorship that has turned #Eritrea into a slave state, destabilized the entire Horn of Africa, and trafficked in terror and repression sends a catastrophic message to every tyrant in the region: brutality pays. The United States does not strengthen its position by embracing a dying dictatorship that has exhausted its own people and betrayed every partner it has ever had.
True stability and security in the Red Sea will never come from propping up Isaias. It will come only when the Eritrean people are finally free. The #BlueRevolution represents that future a democratic, accountable, and pro-Western Eritrea that seeks peace with its neighbors and dignity for its citizens.
We urge the U.S. administration to reject this shortsighted gamble and stand with the Eritrean people against tyranny. Sanctions must remain until the regime falls or fundamentally changes. Anything less is a betrayal of both American strategic interests and the universal cause of human freedom.

Lampedusa 2013 was a crime. Not an accident. Not a tragedy. A crime.
•Committed by Isaias Afwerki and the PFDJ, who turned Eritrea into a prison. You drove the people into exile with slavery, torture, and fear. Every wave that swallowed life in Lampedusa carried your name.
•Reinforced by the regime’s diaspora loyalists, who live safely in Europe and America but give the dictator money, votes, and legitimacy. You are traitors. You have blood on your hands.
•Enabled by Europe, which built walls and closed borders. Which said “not here” and thus pointed towards the sea. You speak of human rights but you sent our brothers and sisters into death.
•Ignored by the international community, which saw everything, stayed silent, and turned its back.
👉 We will never forget.
👉 We will never forgive.
👉 We will never stop fighting.
To the regime’s supporters:
You are the dictator’s longest arm. You cover crimes with festivals and propaganda. But truth is stronger. The people see you. The people will judge you.
To Europe:
Your hands are not clean. Your laws killed. Your borders drowned human beings. Lampedusa is written into your history with blood.
To our people:

This heartfelt Poem is in honor of the Eritreans who tragically lost their lives in Lampedusa on the 3rd of October 2013.

In the depths of the sea, where waves crash and roar,
Rest the souls of Eritrea, forevermore.
They embarked on a journey, seeking hope and light,
But fate led them to Lampedusa's somber night.

Oh, brave souls, who dared to dream,
Your spirits shine, like stars agleam.
Through treacherous waters, you sailed with might,
Yearning for freedom, in the darkest of night.

In search of a better tomorrow, you set sail,
Leaving behind a land where hopes often fail.
With hearts full of courage, you faced the unknown,
But destiny had a different path to be shown.

The waves whispered tales of your unwavering grace,
As you braved the perils, seeking a safer place.
Your dreams, like lanterns, illuminated the way,
Guiding others forward, even as you lay.
