We wrapped up the 3-day grassroots training with county teams outlining strategic actions for Year 2!
Rooted in community priorities, the plans aim to deepen SRHR efforts and strengthen GBV prevention, response, and accountability — especially for vulnerable and underserved groups.
With strengthened leadership and clearer focus, partners are set to scale impact across Western Kenya.
Thank you @NLinKenya & @UNDPKenya for your continued support.

Day 2 of the grassroots organizations’ workshop focused on building stronger institutions and advancing sustainability efforts.
Participants engaged in practical sessions on governance, HR, safeguarding, strategic planning, and financial policies — key pillars for accountability and growth. A dynamic resource mobilization session followed, where they explored how to identify funding opportunities, analyze organizational positioning, and apply adaptive learning for greater impact.
Equipped with refreshed strategies, grassroots actors are now better positioned to sustain ongoing SRHR/GBV work and attract new investments across Western Kenya.
Grateful to @NLinKenya and @UNDPKenya for powering this important journey.

Today, we engaged the Kisumu County Revenue Board & Finance Dept to validate the OSR Capacity Study Report, assessing revenue potential in market fees, business permits, and bus park collections.
#OSRReport#KisumuCountyRevenue@tendasasa@UKinKenya@KisumuKncci
Findings show Kisumu has an OSR potential of Ksh 2.3B annually, with trade licensing projected at Ksh 1.083B. However, revenue collection remains below target. Over FY 2013/14 – FY 2022/23, only 45% (Ksh 10.6B) of the targeted Ksh 23.5B was collected.
