@CounselAllanVic Which part of Uganda, are you practicing law?

Doing this for 10 minutes a day will improve your focus:

- Sit or lie down, close your eyes and focus on your breathing for 5-10 min a day
- Your attention will drift. Bring it back to the breath. That is the practice
- Eyes-open version works too: hold a visual target, blink freely, return your attention to it over and over
- Any time of day works, though late night disrupts sleep for some people
- Miss a day, no big deal. Get right back to it the next day

Wendy Suzuki's lab at NYU: 10 min a day improves focus, memory and recall. Zero cost.

One of the most underused tools in Uganda’s estate planning is a properly drafted appointor clause.

It can give an independent person power to replace trustees, approve key decisions and respond to legal change.

Lawyers, take the win. Say it out loud. This profession is full of people who won a hard case Tuesday and felt nothing by Wednesday.

Advocates,

Why would you charge a fee of Kshs 100,000.00 for a property dispute worth hundreds of millions before the Environment and Land Court?

Mutula Kilonzo, SC would be extremely disappointed by your conduct.

Anyway, having reviewed what was filed in response, it is evident that some of our colleagues collect a small amount in the false pretense of rendering legal services which they have no capacity to render.

Incredible information

[alexei @alexeixbt]

that's neuron.
it doesn't know fear.
it doesn't know lack.
it just repeats what you tell it.

you tell it "i'm not enough" 500 times. the neuron fires. then fires again. then builds a superhighway for that belief.

you tell it "nothing ever works for me" every morning. the neuron doesn't argue. it just memorizes.

you tell it "i can't change" long enough, the neuron believes you. and then your reality matches.

that's neuroplasticity.

from a quantum perspective, your focused attention is what turns possibility into experience. the neuron is the bridge, but the bridge only appears when you choose a direction.

the good news? the same neuron doesn't know truth from a lie. it just repeats. so you can overwrite the lie with a new signal. when you hold that new signal with quiet certainty, reality reorganizes around it, without you forcing it.

what most people get wrong: they try to "think positive" once. then wonder why nothing changes.

one weak signal doesn't build a highway. repetition does. and without the inner "already done", the repetition stays hollow."

Online lawyering is quite easy. Court has a way of reminding us that litigation is a different trade altogether.

Someone advised Dr. Spire to seek a stay of execution pending an appeal and even attached their LDC results in support, but the High Court has refused and dismissed the application for a stay. Online legal practice is tough. Anyway, what should the good doctor do next? More advice, please!

the Caesars, the Queen Elizabeths, the Michelangelos, the Medicis:

Not a miser among them.

Even the great con artists spend freely to swindle.

Somewhere in Kampala tonight, a man who bought an insurance policy is wondering whether the regulator watching over his claim is legitimate. He does not understand Miscellaneous Application No. 423 of 2026. He only knows that two men appear to be CEO and the court has not yet spoken. That uncertainty, that is the real cost of this fight. And neither side is paying it.

By increasing the number of judges at the Industrial Court and mainstreaming ADR, employment and labour disputes will be resolved faster. We’ve also raised the financial ceiling of Magistrates courts. This will reduce backlog in the High Court. Having a Magistrates Court in every constituency and a High Court in every district and a Court of Appeal in every region will increase access to justice.
