Today my daughter’s school bus took 2 hours to travel just 2 km in Varthur/Gunjur road.

For those 2 hours, I sat there as a parent feeling completely helpless.

I work hard. My wife and I pay lakhs in taxes every month. We took a huge home loan mainly so we could live close to our daughter’s school and give her a safer, easier childhood.

And yet, this is what “2 km from school” means here.

In the last year alone, we have seen a school bus topple, a woman suffer serious injuries after a fall, a biker almost lost his life after falling because of a pothole, and many more incidents that never become headlines.

Every day, ordinary people here tweet, email, complain, follow up and plead with authorities.

We are not activists.
We are not fighting for a political party.
We are parents, employees, families and taxpayers asking for one basic thing:

Please give our children a safe road to come home on.

Today, more than the traffic, what broke me was the feeling that despite doing everything a responsible citizen is supposed to do, I had absolutely no power to protect my own child.

If anyone knows how ordinary citizens of Varthur/Gunjur can reach someone with the authority to actually intervene, please help us.

and team, you did great work, you actually highlighted all the issues which we are facing in Panathur-Balegere-Gunjur for last 19 years. While infra proposed in RMP 2015 is not completed what is the point in drafting RMP 2030 or RMP 2041 ? There is serious lack of vision from UDD . Thats why we demand Metropolitan Planning Committee as per 74th Amendment and GBA elections. Both are not happening putting the city into severe scar.
So for last 19th years funds were never allocated for this project ?? This is why we need TAX PAYERS BOARD AND TAX MONEY TRACKING DASH BOARD

1. Why it was not taken to State Govt when forest department rejected Anekal land ?
2. This road is part of RMP 2015 which was released in 2007, since that day what are the steps taken by MLA team regarding building this road
3. For ROB via duct construction forest land is not needed, 2 times tender was called to prepare DPR, till now DPR itself is not started. what is your role here to get this going ? Please publish any representations submitted
4. on this stretch crematorium should also be cleared, what is the action towards this from MLA team ?
5. We have 2 temples on this stretch , what are the actions you are going to take to relocate these temples ?
6. There is court case for few survey numbers which also comes in this path, how will you resolve this issue ?

📌LETS DECODE HISTORY MYSTERY OF GUNJUR-NEWHORIZON CDP ROAD
I have put up detailed video decoding CDP road delays through my case study. Please revert back to me incase if any data is wrong .

I was supposed to do this in march, was waiting to get some more clarity but however got few more things going by meeting commissioners which I have shared in the video.

The only hope now we have is on GBA commisioner Maheshwar rao sir and BECCC Commisioner Ramesh sir, both are progressive, both have heard us multiple times, both have visited our roads multiple times. We have not seen such involvement from any previous IAS officers.

I have attached the report which I got couple of months back as response for my case,
I had shared that report with one of the media folks couple of months back and was surprised to see them published unasked.
Attached public consultation meeting. It’s in public consultation I mentioned that there are 4 to 5 big ticket items that needs to be addressed referring to the report while they work on land acquisition process. There are conflicting claims regarding the status of the proposed CDP/RMP road connecting the New Horizon College/ORR side towards Gunjur.

Residents are receiving different versions regarding whether the road provision exists and whether its implementation is presently held up due to forest clearance and/or other approvals.

To establish the correct position based on official records, kindly provide/confirm the following:👇

1. Planning status:
Is the proposed New Horizon–Gunjur road currently part of the approved CDP/RMP/master plan? If yes, kindly provide the relevant plan/order/reference number.

2. Road alignment & extent:
Kindly provide the approved alignment, proposed road width and details of the relevant road stretch, including the applicable survey numbers wherever available.

3. Land status:
What portion of the proposed alignment is presently available to the implementing authority, and what portion is pending acquisition, relinquishment, transfer or any other land-related process?

4. Forest land:
Does the proposed alignment pass through forest land? If yes, kindly provide the relevant survey numbers and extent of forest land involved.

5. Forest clearance:
What is the present status of the forest-diversion/forest-clearance proposal? Kindly specify whether Stage-I/in-principle approval, compliance, compensatory afforestation requirements and Stage-II/final approval have been completed or remain pending.

6. Other approvals/NOCs:
Please specify all other statutory approvals/NOCs presently required for execution of the road and identify the department/authority with which each approval is pending.

7. Project implementation:
Which agency is presently responsible for executing the road, and what is the current status of the project?

8. Timeline:
If all necessary approvals are obtained, is there an approved timeline for commencement and completion of the remaining work?

9. Previous correspondence:
Kindly provide details/copies of relevant government orders, proceedings, correspondence and approvals concerning this road, particularly those relating to forest clearance and land availability.

10. Latest official position:
Kindly confirm in writing whether the statement that “the CDP road provision already exists and the project is presently held up primarily due to forest-clearance approvals” is factually correct as per the latest government records.

This request is being made solely to establish the current, official and document-backed status of an important connectivity project affecting residents of the New Horizon–Gunjur/Panathur region.

I request the concerned authorities @GBA_office @GBAChiefComm @krishnabgowda @DKShivakumar @osd_cmkarnataka @MALimbavali @RLR_BTM to kindly provide the above information and relevant documents so that residents can be informed accurately and avoid circulation of unverified information.
