⚠️Rowers at Henley warned of water risks⚠️
Harmful E coli bacteria have been found at alarmingly high levels at Henley, just days before elite rowers compete in the international regatta there. 🚣💩🦠
Huge thanks to the @Daily_Express ✊👇 #VoteCleanRivers
Guilty as charged that reporting high levels of E.Coli is alarmist @thameswater. It needs to be because people are getting ill in Henley from using the rivers.
The sewage works in Henley is broken, it has already spilled for 900 hours this year… When it rains there is a problem. When it doesn’t rain there is a problem.
Perhaps fix your assets…
Meanwhile we will continue to be alarmist.

Testing times (1)… We have been testing for E. Coli in Henley where people use the river ie the regatta course (bad results) and @thameswater (checks notes) at the locks… some distance away (good according to them). The fact that we are testing near where the outflow from Henley STW enters the Thames may be more why we have seen the high readings. @sandralaville@RiverActionUK@Feargal_Sharkey@GreenJennyJones@WindrushWasp@jaowallace@Petex70@ashsmith43

“How Tory neglect flooded Britain’s rivers with sewage.”
You need to read this before you go to the polls next week. It will change your life.
Insightful, profound and bloody disturbing by @sandralaville for the @guardian

“Water company plans £89m shareholder payout despite sewage conviction.”
And that boys & girls is how it works
We can spend £91.6m fixing the sewage works or dump that sh*t into the nearest river, pay a £2.6m fine and give the rest to our shareholders.

URGENT! Pls share. The last chance to register to vote in the General Election is 11.59pm tomorrow Tue 18 June. Potentially 8m aren't registered at their current address. Here's 4 key facts...
1) You can do it online here https://t.co/i4FhJoAXfK
2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages.
3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing )
4) You'll need ID when you do vote (not to register) if you don't have it, you can get it free until Wed 26 June https://t.co/9bfL3hw3CV
Walked along the River Itchen today, a nice stroll through Riverside park & over to St Denys? swans, cygnets, elderflowers… and the stench of human #sewage flowing out of #SouthernWater works… the river was ‘soupy’. This is a crime. The company bosses must be held accountable!!
This report from the BBC is truly jaw dropping. South West has been pumping raw sewage into our rivers onto our beaches when it is not raining - which is illegal - on an industrial scale. What’s worse, they’ve been doing it at some of our most precious nature spots. (1/3)
There is only a week left to register to vote in the UK election. If you’re not registered by 11.59pm on the 18th June, you cannot vote on 4th July. To register just click on https://t.co/5au3gPGPXR and then just share this post with anyone and everyone @justvote24
Very personal & important film by @EdwardJDavey on the importance to society of paid and unpaid carers. Good to see @LibDems also proposing a costed solution to the social care crisis. Other parties have to follow suit & explain their plans. So many broken promises in the past, but if we finally invest in social care, standards of care would improve, there would be a huge reduction in the burden on carers, flow through hospitals would speed up, waiting lists would come down, people would be able to get back to work & the economy would improve. Who is brave enough to make this an urgent priority?
Is “2k more tax “
the new
“350 million NHS “bus slogan .
Doesn’t need to be right. Just needs to be repeated .
Have we come so little way since the grubby days of that campaign ??
