@matthewstoller and @ddayen have really helped open to my eyes to how much of our society is owned and operated as what can only be described as legal cartels.
@rockerskating It's part of the PR/fluff machine for NBC (here at least)... doesn't count toward ISU records. Hopefully coaches warn their skaters of this well in advance
@skatefan78 Good observation about the music carrying... Something felt off about this otherwise fine program, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Can't get enough of the H/B fd.
@skatefan78 I agree... definitely highlights their strengths, lots of potential. It feels like the kind of program Hubbel/Donohue would've done really well.
The story of 2024 will be a wave of new trustbusting politicians that got their start as radicalized #Swifties ready to take aim at Ticketmaster and other monopolies. #BreakEmUp
Struggling to buy @taylorswift13 tickets on Ticketmaster? You're not alone.
Ticketmaster is destroying live music.
Their scam fees now cost as much as 78% of a ticket. They control the events, the venues, even the artists. @Doctorow explains.
@bigblackjacobin And Masters had to just stand there awkwardly and take it while he figured out how to respond to Kelly calmly telling everyone how lame he is... I mean how do you even respond to that
@danielmarans They may have taken the wrong lesson from finding out that fundraising through fb was a money sink... I recall when all the stories of mismanagement at the NRSC came out, that this was a major problem... they didn't try just advertising there without trying to solicit donations?
The plaintiff in a lawsuit seeking to overturn Biden's student debt forgiveness program herself had a PPP loan forgiven β worth over twice the maximum amount of debt cancellation available to student borrowers.

@HoegLaw (Spoiler?).............The dragons are being primed by the emotions of their riders, and Aemond isn't absolved because he started the chase. Lol what did he think would happen?
@HoegLaw As a response to your comments on H&H, while I understand the annoyance of some with the "accidents of history" driving the plot, I think what happened (trying to avoid spoilers) was no accident but the result of psychic connection dragons have with their humans.
@HoegLaw I find it interesting that they are so deftly employing "accidents" that happen as a result of human specific choices made, and I thought the groundwork was laid phenomenally, but maybe that's just me.
@HoegLaw Framing it differently, someone referred to it as "conflict inertia." Think back to Viserys's last supper. After he left, the boys fought and mothers couldn't stop them b/c mothers had already sowed the seeds of hate/mistrust (also the boys already had their own grudges).
