Centi and Minit Money Remittance Service Now Live in Eight African Countries'

Centi Enables Instant, Low-Cost Transfers to African Mobile Wallets

Zürich, Switzerland, 30 January 2025 – Switzerland is among the world’s largest remittance-sending countries, with more than $30 billion transferred abroad annually. A significant share of this goes to Africa, where recipients often face high fees, poor exchange rates, and slow processing times.

Swiss fintech Centi has introduced a new remittance service that uses Swiss bank-backed stablecoins to facilitate instant, low-cost transfers from Switzerland to Africa. In partnership with Minit Money, Centi enables direct payouts to millions of mobile money users and bank accounts.

* Up to 30% more money received compared to traditional remittance services
* Up to 85% lower costs – sending CHF 100 costs as little as CHF 2
* Direct payouts to 45+ banks and mobile wallets such as MTN and Airtel
* Live in eight countries: Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Benin, and Zambia
* Fully digital but accessible to the unbanked – the Centi app can be topped up with cash

A Digital-First but Inclusive Approach
