The audacity of meetei commandos to stand against Assam Rifles is outright hipocracy. Since when have a state been so corrupt and radicalised to use state forces against central forces??

Our demand for separate administration stands strong and resolute. It is the only viable solution to protect our community, preserve our culture, and ensure lasting peace in Manipur. It's time for truth, justice, and a future free from falsehood.

TENGNOUPAL REELS UNDER FOOD AND MEDICINE SHORTAGE FOLLOWING MEIRA PAIBI BLOCKADE

On 8th September, 2023: The Central Relief Committee, Tengnoupal, which is coordinating relief efforts in the Zo- inhabited areas of Tengnoupal district, released a public appeal on September 6 highlighting the dire need for assistance at the various relief camps across Tengnoupal. The public note stated that of all the relief camps in Manipur, the relief camps in Tengnoupal district are most affected due to its location. Tengnoupal is located at the eastern borders of Manipur and is logistically cut-off from other districts due to its geographical isolation. The Imphal-Moreh road, which is the main life-line for the district, has been blocked by violent Meira Paibi mobs at Kakching Lamkhai for months now.

The Relief Committee also highlighted that the relief camps in Tengnoupal have not received any form of relief or assistance from the Manipur government till-date, and the camps are therefore run by the local community who mobilise locally available resources. Furthermore, those displaced persons not lodged in relief camps are also at the verge of near starvation due to scarcity of food supply and unemployment. Due to lack of proper medical facilities, people in need of critical medical attention have to be brought to Lamka town, which is an 8-hours journey from Tengnoupal. The public note contains the block-wise details of persons needing immediate relief assistance: 1667 people in Moreh block, 362 people in Machi block, and 1277 people in Tengnoupal block.

Meiteis are relying not just on the 5000-odd looted guns from Manipur state force's Armouries but also on firepower brought along by their radicalised militants from Myanmar.
