CCAMP, in partnership with @MCSquarePlus, has announced the 𝐌𝐂²+ 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 to identify and support indigenous innovations for bio-Iso-Butanol / N-Butanol production through milestone-based grants and equity-free prizes of up to 12.5 Cr INR plus commercialisation pathways with almost all of India's oil and energy PSUs.

Applications are invited from startups, MSMEs, academic and research institutions, corporates and industry R&D teams, and individual innovators/technologists, singly or in consortium.

We are looking for industry partners to scale up a novel immunomodulator in the #respiratory infection space.

Developed and translated by the C-CAMP translation research programme, Respi-Protect helps to prevent and treat respiratory infections such as the flu and COVID-19 through intranasal delivery.

Respi-Protect's USP:
A non-invasive, easily deliverable option for the prevention and treatment of various respiratory infections.

What is the technology?
It is an immunomodulatory peptide-based immune-boosting mechanism with broad-spectrum activity against viruses like Influenza and potentially SARS-CoV-2

How does it work?
Respi-Protect works by activating the innate immune system in the nasal mucosa, which is the initial entry point for respiratory pathogens. This activation is achieved by modulating the TLR2/4 pathways. Studies conducted on animal models of influenza and COVID-19 have shown that Respi-Protect can serve both prophylactically and therapeutically, reducing lung damage and viral titers.

Hon'ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi's 129 #MannKiBaat on 28th Dec 2025, the last edition of the year, clearly underlined the critical importance of medical supervision for #antibiotic use to prevent disease-resistant pathogenic strains, particularly for multi-drug resistant pneumonia and Urinary Tract Infections, as shown in @ICMRDELHI's recent report on the emerging #AntimicrobialResistance (#AMR) threat.

Coming after the release of India's National Action Plan on AMR NAP 2.0, this is a moment of prime importance for increasing public awareness and stewardship of antibiotic use in the face of the grave AMR health crisis in India and beyond, and marks India's priority at the highest level on this crucial issue.

C-CAMP Director-CEO Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed (@Taslimarif) acknowledged the Hon'ble PM's mention of AMR, and highlighted how C-CAMP-anchored India AMR Innovation Hub #IAIH will build and galvanise solutions to address and reduce the AMR burden in the next five years with support from innovators, startups, investors, government agencies, philanthropies, policymakers, and clinicians.
