Extremely disappointed with @jet2tweets following my experience on flight LS1740 back from Manchester yesterday.
I am a loyal Jet2 customer who flies with you 3–4 times a year, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I informed the cabin crew that I have a severe, life-threatening nut allergy and was met with nothing more than an “OK”. I then had to ask for the allergy announcement to be made, and even this was not done until after the aircraft doors had closed, meaning passengers had already boarded with food.
This falls far short of the message behind Jet2’s own Onboard Together approach — that everyone should feel safe when travelling. Cabin crew have a responsibility for passenger safety, yet on this occasion I did not feel that my safety as a passenger with a life-threatening medical condition was treated as a priority.
At no point did anyone ask where my EpiPens were, what type of allergy I have, or provide any reassurance about what would happen if I suffered an anaphylactic reaction. For something that could be life-threatening, the lack of awareness and urgency was extremely concerning.
A huge amount of credit must go to @easyJet, whose crews have consistently handled my allergy with the seriousness it deserves — asking about my EpiPens, understanding my allergy, explaining procedures and making me feel genuinely reassured when flying. They set the standard for how passengers with severe allergies should be supported.
I also have to give credit to @Ryanair, who took my allergy far more seriously than @jet2tweets did yesterday and demonstrated a much better level of awareness and care.
After years of choosing Jet2 and flying with you several times a year, this experience has genuinely changed my view. I want to feel safe when I fly, and unfortunately I will now be avoiding Jet2 for future travel unless there is a significant improvement in how severe, life-threatening allergies are handled.

back on job. new sense of authority. gaffa made me head of security team. wont put up with horseplay. gather troops. intensive takedown training this mornin. swiped joanne off her feet 27 times in row. battered. weak. futile. no place for that in my security team. hiring ongoing.
@premierinn Evacuation at T4 LHR Premier Inn, 01:15 in the morning. Albeit accidents happen, But having NO staff directing us to exit the building. If that was a real fire and not a drill, People would have lost life. I would be ashamed.
