Alkaline phosphatases (APs) use various methods to adapt environmentally. Hjörleifsson, @BjossiM and colleagues @uni_iceland @UniOulu @UiB show an AP from the marine bacterium Vibrio splendidus has two Cl binding sites which seem to play different roles.

Our new paper on Arc is out now in @PLOSONE! We used Nb-aided crystallography, SAXS and simulations to look at the dynamic CTD, and found a surprising inhibitory Nb.
