@anth40477@colwight The eventual mostly peaceful resolution of the conflict you're talking about was probably aided by the fact that Irish Catholics could actually vote and participate in democracy since 1793. Palestinians can't vote or hold office in the government that occupies and controls them.
@anth40477@colwight They would withdraw from most of the territory they were occupying, except for Northern Ireland, and then after continued violence (by the indigenous population and far-right settler militias like the UDA,UVF) they would sign a peace settlement and power-sharing agreement.
@JoshuaL42259777@UAW To put it another way, a worker produces more products per hour than before. When someone produces more products per hour, shouldn’t they get paid more per hour? Or should this technology only be used to put more money in the owners’ pockets, while giving the workers nothing new?
@JoshuaL42259777@UAW Because with automation, the same number of workers produce can produce the same amount of product (if not more) in less time… Should they get paid less for producing the same amount (or more realistically, for producing more)?
@Gideon_6ix @dom_lucre Is it solid work, or it it almost completely copied from this 2018 article by Dan O’Donnell? https://t.co/xurioyzJTA Seriously, check it out, basically every single fact and figure mentioned seems to be taken from this source, with no credit given, while soliciting donations.
@dom_lucre And the only thing you seemingly left out when seemingly copying every point from that article is the fact that George Wallace ran under the American Independent party ticket in 1968, implying by omission that he ran as a dem (perhaps bc it’s inconvenient for your narrative?)
@simongerman600 not all islands, the island of Rugen (and Usedom) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is still there (also very obviously, Cyprus is still there, but maybe just because it isn't considered to be in Europe by some)
@VaushV @GSocTakes just a heads up Vaush, this person replied elsewhere in this thread saying "Same, their antisemitic views on Israel and their hardline isolationist stances are really bad," either in reference to Democracy at Work or the DSA, so they might be a bit pro-zionist
@scrimblobimbini @BadMedicalTakes Birth control? What matters is that you’re in British Columbia, and that’s why you chose him. The post clearly says: “women in BC choose more feminine men.”
@josephcitrano@OctoSquidVR@elonmusk “Reducing traffic in cities” aka trying to set the new world record for number of people simultaneously burned to death in a tunnel
@drewhastings Would be a shame if it was such a commonly known concept that there was a Wikipedia article about it… “Far-left politics, also known as the radical left or the extreme left, are politics further to the left on the left–right political spectrum than the standard political left.”
@drewhastings Actually it would be: “If you use Grammarly, you’re a fucking idiot.” You managed to mess up on both spelling (the word grammar) and grammar (you missed the comma)… while calling other people idiots. Nice!
@VaushV@disclosetv for the record, the painting was covered with glass and was fine. "According to the museum, it caused only minor damage to the frame of the painting, which was protected by glass and is unharmed." https://t.co/RlxF2Exu1r
@JRT3z@cuernogroup@damiengayle@JustStop_Oil it *was* behind glass... "According to the museum, it caused only minor damage to the frame of the painting, which was protected by glass and is unharmed." Do better lmao. https://t.co/RlxF2Exu1r
@bwheel7@cuernogroup@damiengayle@JustStop_Oil It was behind glass... "According to the museum, it caused only minor damage to the frame of the painting, which was protected by glass and is unharmed." https://t.co/RlxF2Exu1r
@Garviell@cuernogroup@damiengayle@JustStop_Oil uh, correct, but it is real. "According to the museum, it caused only minor damage to the frame of the painting, which was protected by glass and is unharmed." There *was* glass in front of it. https://t.co/RlxF2Exu1r
