OMG I was trying to build a Markdown authoring environment based on Emacs.

4 hours later with serious Grok support it was up and running. Easy peasy🙄

Turns out that Wayland offers challenges, such as not being able to get environment settings such as PATH from the terminal but had to be explicitly set in my init.el file.

In February 2024 I acquired an abandoned coffee farm in El Salvador. I began living there later that year, alongside three local men and Bruno, a puppy he found in the jungle.

When I arrived, the farm had just three buildings; a bullet-ridden water tank, Elias’s cabin and a larger cabin housing Antonio and his son Benedicto. I have been living in a tent between the two cabins since November. The four of us have shared food and tools becoming close friends during these months.

Tent life taking its toll, I begin construction of a farmhouse this month. But must first build a watertight cabin for Elias (85) before the rainy season.

As for the coffee, the first harvest beautifully roasted by @goodbeans scored an impressive 82 points, establishing a speciality benchmark to build upon. The plants were submerged in vegetation and are distributed across the farm haphazardly. With the farm now cleared, higher yields are expected next harvest while plans to introduce new varietals are afoot.
