Loving the #EndBookDeserts virtual conference and learning more about how to help the Boise Bookshelf Project get even more amazing books into the hands of young people in our community!
Hi! I'm attending End Book Deserts 2021 Event. Let's start connecting with each other now. @drmollyness via Whova event app https://t.co/IM5JOZrode

Excited to attend this virtual conference to learn from and meet others working to #EndBookDeserts! Thanks for promoting it, @Jarrett_Lerner -- if I hadn't seen your post this morning, I would have missed out on this.
Look at this beautiful donation of brand-new books for the @BoiseBookshelf Project! Thank you so much, Niki!!! These are going to make some kids very happy 💛
Been a while since we've had an update -- the last couple months of school were rough! Had to share that in just six months, the BBP has been able to give away nearly over 2,900 books, providing the joy and benefits of book ownership to 732 different Boise-area families. <3
Looking to donate on a budget? You can find really great like-new kid books at our local thrift stores! Just check for library labels, dog chewing, and water damage :) And use these handy shopping tips to maximize your tag-popping power.
It never fails: when we add leveled readers to our website, they're claimed before we even get a chance to put them away in our BBP storeroom. If you'd like to donate some, there are always great used copies at @OnceFutureBooks, and new ones for half price at Idaho Book Fairs!
Good morning readers! Kicking off our Wednesday with a stack of awesome donated books destined for a local family's bookshelves. This haul includes @GarthStein, @WBruceCameron, @JamesDashner, @Clantoons, and @TaylorKitchings.
Made this for our local community, but feel free to share it with anyone you know who might like to help us gather donations -- especially monetary ones -- to keep the BBP going! I'm going to tag some of our local awesome organizations and people to help boost the signal:
Sometimes we provide books to a single child who wants a few things to read. Other times we provide books to a large family, or even a group of students via their teacher or school social worker. These big bags are heavy and overflowing with possibility!
