@Creative1280942 Great job demonstrating ethical issues because it shows how AI can not understand the idea of harmful environments or how to filter information. I think that is the issue here is that AI relies on data and truthful information when sometimes filtering this is important.
@chinery_connor Hi Connor, this post definitely strikes to be very interesting because AI is something I see daily. I feel that AI is becoming more powerful and it is scary to see that even developers like you said are starting to warn us about the dangers of AI
AI is being allowed to be in control of our thoughts and actions. If AI does not start to be implemented and created correctly with morals and values then simply it is in control. It is crucial that we find a way to implement ethics into AI.

Every builder's first duty is philosophical: to decide what they should build for.
AI is beginning to decide what ideas reach your mind—your next action, your next job, your next relationship. It will tempt you to outsource your thinking in ways you’ve never been tempted before.
Left unchecked, this becomes autocomplete for life.
200 years ago, when mechanization was starting to transform the world, the German philosopher Wilhelm von Humboldt warned of this very dynamic: To flourish as humans, we have to be self-directed. We are the architects of our own becoming.
But if we offload our thinking—if we let AI automate what we once pursued with intention—is it still our life to live?
To build AI that advances human flourishing, we need technologists who combine technical ability with moral vision.
Silicon Valley once embodied this: Jobs and Wozniak asked what kind of creative life personal computers should enable; ARPANET's pioneers envisioned what kind of connected society networks should foster.
But today, we now see three dominant archetypes:
1. The puzzle-absorbed: Solving technical challenges without reflecting on broader ends
2. The reductionists: Collapsing morality into math
3. The dismissers: Waving off philosophy as irrelevant to progress
All three abdicate the fundamental question: What should we build for?
This is where philosophy is essential. Because the job of a builder isn’t just to ship. It’s to shape a shared world.
We need a new kind of technologist—one who builds with human flourishing in mind. Who resists centralized control. Who strengthens autonomy instead of mining attention.
We call them Philosopher-Builders.
@cosmos_inst exists to train and support them—people who translate deep thinking into systems, institutions, and infrastructure that serve human ends.

@livoo_ This is definitely a great point to mention! AI is very beneficial when used correctly, but I definitely agree that there still needs to be a personal connection. This is crucial when creating a connection with students and peers
@kathrynreff04 I really like that you posted this! I definitely think AI tools can be extremely beneficial to give a different perspective to students. I also think it will allow for teaches to save more efficient time as well!
AI is the future of the workforce. It is now becoming integrated into the education system to assist students into becoming familiar with the technologies to better prepare them.

Universities are rapidly integrating AI into teaching to strengthen critical thinking, deepen learning, and better prepare graduates for the workforce. Used responsibly, AI is becoming a core skill for the jobs of today and tomorrow. #AIinEducation#FutureOfWork #OntarioUniversities https://t.co/vEyr776btH
@aidenm310 Hi Aiden,
I completely agree Dwayne Johnson is a great example of a leader. He is someone who constantly is continuing to build his own brand with core values they he follows himself. He uses his celebrity platform to constantly promote beliefs and values and acts as a leader.
@student_109_ Hey Conor,
This is definitely a great individual who acts a leader. They do a great job standing for movements that have a great importance. They also stand for what they feel is right and stand by what they value which is a great deal in leadership.
@hazelma0012 Love this post! I think that Bad Bunny is a good example of a leader and also a famous person. I think he is a good example because he speaks out about what he believes, and this is a good quality to have as a leader.
An individual who is a celebrity and leader is Dwayne Johnson. The reason I say he is a leader is due to the amount of businesses he has started including his energy drink called Zoa. This shows a significant amount of leadership for someone who is already a celebrity.

@CMinhasRU This article mentioning how presenting real and authentic selves through social is extremely important. Especially to be a leader someone has to be true to themselves and have real values that they follow.
@mattqtlb Hi Matt,
This is a great example of the intersection of leadership and social media. I think social media involving leadership with politics has been a major help for running politicians. It helps them to be recognized, grow spread knowledge, as well as spread awareness.
@emmaganderson0 Hi Emma,
This post does a great job at mentioning how leadership and social media intersect. I think Hank Green does a great job explaining how he uses his platform, to spread knowledge about the science.
Something interesting in this post is it demonstrates how Tebow uses his platform on media to create leadership against current issues, like Trafficking. This relates to the organizational competencies from class by bringing people together to fight against an issue.
#LIDC92
It's happening all around us and the question is urgent: will we reach these children before the traffickers do?
Trafficking starts in silence. We make a difference when we act.

@mattqtlb Obama is definitely a great example of a leader. He uses his social platform in many fantastic ways to influence individuals. Not only has he made a statement within the healthcare he continues to try and lead individuals daily.
@hazelma0012 It is really cool to be able to see the influence one can have through social media especially like AOC. It takes a special individual to be able to be a leader especially through a digital presence.
@aidenm310 I definitely find Simon to be a leader. Someone who is able to influence charities and donations for a good cause definitely would be considered a leader. Especially because they are able to draw together a large group of people in support of something particular.
Tim Tebow demonstrates his leadership through his influence he has on people which led to a special night to celebrate individuals with disabilities. This influence created a group effort leading to this spectacular night.
