There’s a company we use for a core admin task. It happens once a year and like clockwork they mess it up. I keep getting emails from them to use some of their expansion services. I’m all for VC compound startups, but **something** has to kinda work?
@paulg AI is a great “why now” (lacking a “why now” was a symptom of why other ideas I’ve had didn’t work out). Doesn’t mean non-AI doesn’t have the why now :) people mix up a great why now shift with the only why now happening.
I miss the good old days (a week ago) when codex could code and opus would say “looks good!” Now Opus gives good reviewer feedback and it takes twice as long to ship a PR :( Bright side is my code is better!
@itsdanreeves We’re building a full CAD tool as opposed to being an AI chatbot on top of existing CAD tools. For real project use, no way someone can give code that (well, they shouldn’t at least)
3 months ago we had a customer say our product was business critical. This week he vibe coded a replacement. We had thousands of configuration knobs, he only needed one.
We’re lucky because we’re building a V2 that can’t be vibe coded. Gonna be brutal for other SaaS that isn’t.
@deedydas Is the takeaway just that 33222 is dead? What do we think the new metrics are going to be? Seems like series A is now closer to 3M, explosive growth to this number is now expected in <12 months, time to 100M can now be measured in months, etc. What does the steady state become?
@daltonc No takeoff I’d tack on AI to an existing workflow with strong guardrails in place. With takeoff I’d design a system from the ground up that AI can freely manipulate with no limitations. Feel like this is Cursor vs OpenClaw/Claude Code. We recently started betting on the latter :)
People who think AI will bring us abundance and leisure time underestimate how much further we can go with compliance.
What if every PR needed a government review? What if every sale needed a government classification in realtime?
Endless paperwork possibilities
@TheRealAdamG@mark_k@OpenAI@TheRealAdamG the incentive for ChatGPT to always leave the conversation open is very annoying. I’ve found it often will purposefully leave out important details just so it can bait me into asking follow up questions.
@philippemnoel Basic goal: get as many quality sites to mention you as you can and get as many pages on your site to use keywords your users are google searching as you can
@philippemnoel Quick cheat sheet:
- semrush for competitor keywords
- make sure your pages put keywords in h1/h2 tags, have good SEO title/description/image for google
- think about keywords that will gain popularity in future (silly example: agentic postgres)
- do 10-20 blog posts a month
