So Kyle Shanahan admitted to causing an accident that the police tried to blame on a 21-year-old? Was all this secrecy because he didn’t want to admit he was wrong?
@espn975@ESPNHouston@johngranato@LanceZierlein@DELv2@LanceZierlein It WAS a con. The plan was always to get the second contract first -- opposite of Ramsey -- then force your way out. DW to South Beach, with all the required shenanigans required to get that prearranged. But all the sexual assaults came to light and killed it.
Kyle is still dealing with concussion symptoms ~12 days later. So it was a Grade III. He's optimistic of recovering from it all and being back on the sidelines at least by the opener.
49ers GM John Lynch doesn’t think Kyle Shanahan’s injuries will prevent him from coaching the Sept. 10 regular-season opener against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia.
“That’s not what we’re anticipating,” Lynch said. “That’s not what I’ve heard from the doctors. But just like we talked about with players, the timeline kind of takes care of itself. He’s got to meet certain markers. But I think the expectation is that long before that he’ll be better.”
Texas Tech, Brendan Sorsby, and the lengths to which Cody Campbell went to purchase his eligibility…
$650,000 in political donations immediately before an attempt to bully the Big 12. Once it was clear their position was untenable, they dropped Sorsby like a hot potato.
It wasn’t just Cody Campbell.
Several Texas Tech donors gave big to @KenPaxtonTX’s campaign as the Republican defended ex-QB Brendan Sorsby, @caseyrmurray reports

A quick update: The surgery to remove my left arm was successful with hopes of an eventual prosthetic replacement. Similarly, the femur and patella surgeries were also successful and the fantastic surgery team was able to save my left leg.
To best focus on my healing and recovery, I’m stepping away indefinitely and will be placed on leave from ESPN. Thank you to all for the prayers and thoughts; please keep them coming.
@JeremyBranham Stroud wanted control of the offense under snap. He got that.
Stroud wanted somebody who had worked under McVay. Got that.
Only differences w/EP: 1) playcalls are much shorter and 2) WR can sight adjust.
It gives greatest optionality. Just learn it, call it better, execute.
”Fix”
Interesting choice of words. CFB is irrevocably broken when deep-pocketed assholes can FIX all outcomes. Opponents should take their helmets off and walk off the field instead of playing the Cody Campbells. Refuse them participation, take back the game.
If Tech actually wanted to beef up their non-conference schedule I’m sure there are P4 teams who would oblige. But they’d rather score PR points by making Texas (who already plays one of the hardest schedules in the country) tell them no. All because Sark hurt their feelings.
Safety entropy (versatility in alignment and usage) and wins above replacement last season
Jesse Minter goes from the number two swiss army knife in Derwin James to the first in Kyle Hamilton
@TexansCommenter Considering Lynch/DeCosta/Paton aren't fully GM (Kyle/Ozzie/Payton) that's fair enough. Schneider/Holmes are best drafters -- better than Howie -- with Guntekunst, who was THIS CLOSE to being Texans GM, right there too.
Top 10, middle 10, and bottom 12 & about to be replaced.
"He understands why the the fans are frustrated," - A source close to Deshaun Watson told @JFowlerESPN and @DanielOyefusi on his relationship with Browns fans.
The source said that sitting out last season was the "best thing that could've happened to him."
