@QuetzalThoughts You got this dude. It is super hard but it does fade off.
Haha I got nicotine poisoning from a patch once, that sucked badly. lol one of the only times I actually thought I may die. Haha it was a good motivator though.
@bryan_caplan lol I have a friend who was into literally every hustler side gig ever mentioned.
Bitcoin was one of those and dang did it pay off. He was my lesson in the advantage early adopters get.
@utilitymstrmash@eshear@shlevy This is my problem with most psychological and sociological studies. Usually conclusions are opaque, so they get simplified, and then generalized.
Even the things that are accepted as legitimate experiments it is obvious from the outset it will prove nothing is similarly absurd.
@eshear@shlevy lmao thanks for saying this. Sometimes people take philosophical questions too seriously.
Haha I am shocked this question is still around years later, I guess it was a good onem
@yuzokoshiro In English the word for this feeling is equanimity.
It can sometimes be a reaction from stress. If that is the case be careful not to accidently hurt those around you. It can be easy to be dismissive or overly blunt.
Haha maybe now we're even for Bukkake ๐คฃ
@RobbWiller I wonder how much opinion really shifts over time. Polling appears to largely partisan. Conservatives frame this as, "Economic priority", "Overstated", or "We're at the end of an ice age".
Appeals to purity make sense, but to really shift the needle you need to defeat a pillar.
@PirateSoftware@SnakeyLeaf@Tectone I don't have a horse in this race but seems like he'll prob say it isn't 4 years.
Which was probably intentional, since you wouldn't have been paying anyone before you blew up.
@Anghellik9@dccommonsense I am against draft, but I hope you realize globally it is common. Mandatory military service, a step higher, is also common. South Korea, Finland, and many other highly developed nations do this.
Outrage seems disproportionate based on that.
@DylanLTanner@dccommonsense I mean what did you actually take exception with? It seemed like a pretty generic set of statements.
I looked it over for whatever is outraging people and I am not seeing it.
@cenkuygur@marklevinshow Dang Cenk I don't agree with a lot you say, but Christ, that people talk to you this way is gross. Never met anyone who found a churl persuasive.
@bryan_caplan I think cognitively it is processed more like mission complete and a readiness to move to the "next chapter".
Clinton was fresh and the world felt fresh. I was a child in 92 though, so there wasn't a connection to the zeitgiest. Hard to know the real sentiments.
@50bigman@elonmusk lol you trying to say you have never given an opinion on Americans? I don't even agree with Elon, but people are allowed to have opinions, even when they are wrong or poorly informed.
@MrRemKing@elonmusk Yeah it is interesting how easily people over generalize. It is a great benchmark for showing how informed people actually are though.
What we are experiencing is the lag effect, so in a lot of ways it makes sense that people not well informed still see Trudeau's policies.
