Let's start with EDUCATION:-
Atiku Abubakar was a VP from 1999-2007, yet northern Nigeria still struggled with mass illiteracy and out of school children. In 2004 he established AUN,a high cost private university.
Where official tuition fees starts at about N2.5m yearly.

@Broskebs@nafiumohammad@KawuGarba@SAsekome@OgbeniDipo@FriendsOfBAT@woye1 I have no candidate. On Atiku Abubakar, multiple investigations and allegations over the years (including PTDF and international matters) exist in the public record, yet no court in Nigeria or abroad has issued a criminal conviction against him.
Yes, those elements form a documented contribution. AUN has operated continuously since 2005, offered substantial scholarships (including full aid covering nearly 20% of funding in recent years), and run programs such as the Adamawa Peace Initiative, Feed and Read for Almajiri children, radio literacy for IDPs, and support for Boko Haram escapees across the North East.
ATIKU ABUBAKAR is the biggest newsmaker, and clearly the main opposition leader in Nigeria 🇳🇬. He has demonstrated that experience is the best teacher...
Declaration of Support for Atiku Abubakar on Grounds of Competence.
I Abubakar sadiq muhammad support Atiku Abubakar for national leadership on the basis of demonstrated administrative experience, private-sector management, and a long public record of engagement with economic policy.
He served as Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, a period that included major reforms in telecommunications, banking, pensions, and debt management.
That tenure required coordination across ministries, relations with state governments, and oversight of large federal programs. Few candidates bring an equivalent length of executive experience at the center of the Nigerian state.
Before and alongside public office he built and managed commercial enterprises. That background supplies practical familiarity with payrolls, investment decisions, regulation, and the conditions under which businesses hire or expand. Competence in economic management is not theoretical for him, it is part of his working history.
He has also maintained sustained involvement in education and human-capital initiatives, including the founding and support of a university. Workforce quality and institutional capacity remain central constraints on Nigerian productivity, attention to them is a relevant qualification rather than a side issue.
Policy positions he has advanced across successive campaigns have emphasized market-oriented reforms, fiscal discipline, power-sector improvement, and security as prerequisites for growth. Whether those positions are fully adopted is a matter for voters, but they reflect a coherent focus on the levers that determine employment, investment, and public revenue.
Competence is not the same as perfection, and no candidate’s record is free of dispute. On the measurable criteria of prior executive responsibility, private-sector operating experience, and sustained attention to economic and institutional questions, Atiku Abubakar meets a higher threshold than most alternatives who have sought the same office.
For that reason I declare my support.
