Please tell schools again to prioritise kids in special classes for July prov. They’re cutting our hours so they can run camps. It’s an absolute catastrophe for us this year. School after school reducing our kids entitlements

It's a human right. These vulnerable children and families are tired. A letter of security surely will not break the administration budget ? They deserve answers. Who is going to listen and put these families out of there misery.@josephamadigan @ncseirl

A letter of security gives reassurance. @ncseirl Without this parents are tormented with worry. We are in a pandemic. People are already suffering mentally. Add in no official reassurance your child with complex needs may not have a secondary school place in 12 weeks time.

Late payment every year is a disincentive for staff taking part in Summer Provision. The Minister knows that staff will put up with this poor treatment because they care deeply about their students & want to support them. It is unfair, staff need clarity on when they will be paid

39 out of 124 special schools have told parents they WILL NOT offer the summer programme this year for children with autism and intellectual disabilities. Others are ‘waiting for guidelines’.

Home provision for children with complex needs won’t work. We said before parents can’t find tutors for children with more complex needs. It must be in-school. Schools must open their doors - cannot use their power anymore to exclude external educators doing jp on their premises

@WayneOCillAirne Our school is a special school, don’t run it either. So they can double the funding but won’t change anything. Would be far better off to double the wages of the snas and pay everyone the month after it’s done.
