@RailfutureEA Perhaps you ought to have noted it was a Stadler 745(101), which are usually rostered LivSt to Norwich and Stansted only services. They are twice the length of the far more common 755 bi-modes.
@DaveLiamvad @LNER Bland they certainly are in that highly drab dark livery, and with somewhat spartan seating. But they leave the lovely HSTs in their dust for acceleration, and smooth riding. Mind you, the latter is more probably down to NetwRail and IKBrunel.
