Stripe reportedly acquiring OpenRouter says something bigger than AI. Infrastructure is shifting toward orchestration over lock-in.
That's the same philosophy behind paymentkit (https://t.co/y9f69jayGF) businesses should be able to route payments across providers instead of depending on just one.

@PhilipPages agreed on the root cause. worth noting though as a bigger deal is unsubscribing this is just still getting hit by something else down the line
@ZachSchleien Exactly. Some business categories get flagged long before anyone reviews how they're actually operating. That's why having a backup processor before you need one is so important.
@shin_jason58471@stripe hi jayson hope you can lend me some little bit of your time i think i have a solution for you if this will happen again at some sort hope you can DM me thanks
@chanxdev@stripe@stripesupport asked a simple payout question, got a full account termination back. that's not customer support, that's a game of wrong button with your business as the stakes.
This is exactly why relying on one processor is risky. Even with all the paperwork done, you can still end up stuck. PaymentKit (https://t.co/y9f69ja0R7) sits above your processors, so if one puts your account on hold, you already have another payment route ready instead of waiting for support.
That's rough, especially when you did everything right. The downside of relying on one processor is a single decision can stop your payments overnight. That's why PaymentKit (https://t.co/y9f69ja0R7)as an orchestration layer is a game changer, so if one processor goes down, another payment route is already available.
Even legit businesses can get flagged because of sudden volume or the category they're in. That's why an orchestration layer like paymentkit (https://t.co/y9f69ja0R7) helps if one processor freezes things, another payment route is already live so the business isn't stuck waiting on a review.
@mazycrypto@ecompayouts Banned in Feb but autobilled in March shows risk and billing running on separate systems. The account holder gets stuck unable to process payments while still being charged exactly why relying on one processorโs internal coordination is a real business risk.
@Charles_SEO The email says the call claims the email loop is almost worse than the freeze itself at least the freeze has a stated reason. That's 7 months of no one owning the case
@shin_jason58471@stripe@stripesupport this is the exact moment people start asking wait, why did I only have one way to get paid? what's your plan for actually collecting money while this drags out?
the frozen $40k is the part that should get more attention than the chargebacks tbh that's not a dispute problem, that's a single-processor problem. this is the exact spiral PaymentKit (https://t.co/y9f69ja0R7) exists for: one gateway freezes, traffic keeps routing through the backup, the best Q2 ever tweet doesn't have an asterisk on it.
Nobody tells you the real number until you're already over it. Stripe/PayPal don't publish a hard chargeback ceiling, but cross 1% and you're in review territory regardless of what the disputes were actually about. By the time you find out, the damage is already done. #Payments #Ecommerce
This is the frustrating part clean record and fast responses still don't help once you're in review. We've seen this exact pattern with innocent merchants. Once resolved, it's worth diversifying your payouts u can try PaymentKit (https://t.co/y9f69ja0R7) and see good results. Hope this gets sorted soon
4 months for a generic response is insane. this is exactly the failure mode of running one processor with no fallback by the time you're arguing with support, it's already too late to fix it for that hold you can always add one to your stack like paymentkit (https://t.co/y9f69jayGF) for instance
@Compaytence solid list. having PaymentKit (https://t.co/SFvAruyaCN) around the same idea the paperwork gets you approved, but a second gateway already tested and live is what keeps the reserve/hold from actually killing cash flow when volume spikes trigger review.
