Historians: I'm writing about the Battle of Lewisham and New Cross Fire for people not likely to have studied them. What resources can I point my reader to that centre community experiences of these events over national reporting? Doesn't need to be academic. Thanks.
I'm not working in academia anymore but I would still like to support sociology PGRs/ECRs. If anybody would like a mentor, or even just a critical friend to read over their work, do get in touch, esp first gen students! ✨📚☕️

Today I took the ‘Interim’ out of my job title and became Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience in the School of Law and Social Sciences. Luckily not-STEM subjects and post 92s are really popular with the government right now so it should be a cake walk. 😂
Lots of angry muttering for me as I support the school with clearing today. My heart goes out to all of those who had their GCSEs cancelled during COVID and whose results were then dependent on exams.
Lots of educational inequality and bad policy stacked on top of each other.

For #FestivalofArchaeology I’d like to share with you some notes below about the Anglo-Saxon princely burial in Prittlewell, Essex. The discovery shaped my career in museums and I’m proud of my small role in its interpretation.
