During the @WCO_OMD 27𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held in Hong Kong, Pakistan signed an MoU to join the pilot run of the 𝗯𝗹��𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗔𝗣 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, hosted by Hong Kong China Customs. With this milestone, Pakistan became the first country among 35 𝗪𝗖𝗢 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶�� 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 to volunteer for the implementation of this innovative initiative. The MOU was signed by PSW's Chief Domain Officer, @naveedabbasmem1 , on behalf of Pakistan Customs and the Member Customs (Operations), Mr. Syed Shakeel Shah.
The ValidAP project will enable cross-border validation of regulatory compliance certificates, strengthen trust in trade documentation, and support faster verification of export-related documents. Through initiatives like this, PSW is helping position Pakistan as a forward-looking trade economy by improving regulatory connectivity, reducing documentation barriers, and enhancing export competitiveness, while reinforcing its role as a key enabler of a modern, connected, and internationally aligned trade ecosystem that supports Pakistan’s economic growth and global trade integration.
