I know Bishop Brennan and he is a faithful bishop. He grew up in a big traditional family (10 kids, I think he told me), but he also invited the FSSP into his region and gave them a home in Los Angeles. Here are the pictures of him saying the TLM and establishing them as Auxiliary in the San Fernando region of LA archdiocese. He has a love from the TLM but also has a heart for ecumenical dialogue. I bet if you called the Diocese and outlined your concern, he would issue a clarification. He is a super humble bishop. Maybe I will reach out to him, as well. I am glad he walked out during communion.
Very grateful to President Trump and the First Lady for joining the Catholic faithful and the bishops of the United States in dedicating the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Christians have been engaged in the political sphere for a very long time. The problem is that they haven’t been engaging as Christians, but rather as some participant in some other group.
@TonyDungy Fascinating — I wonder why 1 Timothy, as opposed to the others? I can think of several reasons, but I would be interested to know nonetheless. Have a prayerful and restful rest of your trip!
God bless!
This is beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing – I might have to make this my new retreat location for my annual silent retreat. The https://t.co/LxkVn5x8aa should consider this location as perfect for what they are trying to do, especially for their retreat for politicians. Anyway, keep up the great work.
A lot of people are not aware of the link between the Sacred Heart of Jesus devotion and the social reign of Christ the king. I hope in the future more people consider the history of the Sacred Heart devotion so that they can better understand why it is that nations and states ought to recognize Jesus and the Church officially and formally..
