@SISTASinZION I always wonder about this because president Nelson has also said we needs more women like Eve, but I don’t feel very favored when I speak up at church 🤨
@the_bradpad You waited three hours and never in that time did he message and say he was sorry he was running late because of work? I agree you dodged a bullet, that is just rude! And his response to you wondering where he was was what was over the top!
Yet again, @BYU / @Ch_JesusChrist are in the news for our racial illiteracy and whatever we decide to do about it will probably not be enough. @ClarkGilbert removed anti-racism from BYU curriculum and the church itself still has no anti-racist policy, strategy, or curriculum.
I'm just tired and disappointed. The church will parade Black folks in its marketing materials as if to say "come on in the water's fine", but won't correct our racial illiteracy or reckon with our racial history. What kind of Christians do that?
@jamcjon I did Not attend today… but I would bet money it was not mentioned because my leadership avoids “divisive topics” 🙄. But I would have likely said something in testimony. I attended virtually a mennonite church today though and their prayer today brought me to tears!
@Elizabe95980110@LDSMormon People are excommunicated for a wide variety of reasons this is a blanket statement that does not apply to all excommunicated people. I do not agree with many reasons people are excommunicated, and many people who are have actually inspired change in the church by speaking up
A friend asked me to tweet out this survey called:
"Anonymous Survey for members of the LDS faith (particulary BIPOC and LGBTQ+ members in the USA)"
Thank you!

I thought folks were taking this out of context originally, but it's still pretty bad even in context.
I can appreciate the spirit of what Brad Wilcox is trying to do as someone whose list of theological questions continues to grow as I work out answers
GOP VA Governor just set up a tip line to report schools & teachers who teach about racism.

Whatever you do, don't make a mockery of this with fake tips. That would be a terrible thing to do. RT so everyone knows NOT to send fake tips.
